đhello everyone... i know there has already been an update, but i just wanted to write my own update especially for all the NB forum members! Since the show has just started off, we need time to watch the characters evolve and unfold before we can form proper opinions about them, but what i can definitely say is... i HATE kamini khannađĄ, i adore mansi's actingđ, and i like adi's attitudeđ... biji is cho chweetđł!
so last week, we saw the beginning of chandni's journey to mumbai and a new character entered the scene, rather, ran in full speed to catch the train, held the sweet heroine's hand and even managed to get hold of her engagement ring...đ! Yeh sab itni aasani se kar liya... par ek simple chain kheench nahiin paaya... wow! So this week's first episode opened with a garam confronttion between the heroine and soon-to-be hero! Adi jumps onto the running train and his hand manages to find Chandni's hand on the bar. She gives him a really cute, angry look and removes her hand immediately, but then, she stops and turns around to find her engagement ring in Adi's hand!đ
Dhadak-dhadak dhuan udaaye re!
What would any of you do if some stranger caught your hand and then took your engagement ring off? That's what Chandni did, she just grabbed the ring from his hand and turned to go, but he stopped her right there - "thanks nahiin kahogi?"đ This really irritates Chandni and she gives him a harsh look and they start arguing, it goes on for a while until Adi receives a call from his friend who didn't manage to get onto the train. The tickets are with the friend and so Adi is in trouble. He's on a train without a ticket!đ To add to the confusion, there's this behenji type of girl standing in front of him and arguing like it's nobody's business... at least, that's HIS point of view!
He ignores Chandni, gives her a totally obnoxious look and immediately gets into Chandni and biji's compartment to pull the chain and stop the train, so that his friends can get on. But before he can get to the chain, Chandni grabs hold of his jacket - "tum yeh kya karne ja rahe ho?" He just shrugs her off and agains tries to pull the chain but this time he is stopped by biji and her 'haayo rabba'đ shouts... many other passengers turn up to see what's causing the commotion and Chandni explains that Adi was trying to pull the chain.
The passengers threaten to throw Adi out but he shrugs them off. Just before he can pull the chain, though, the TC turns up and gives Adi a good telling off while Chandni looks very pleased in the background. Adi is totally irrittated by Chandni's attitude especially because he thinks she's an absolute nobody compared to him and his status. He irks her even further by calling her 'bebe'. The TC drags Adi off because he hasn't got a ticket on him.
It's late at night and Chandni and biji are sitting alone in the train compartment and talking excitedly about their plans for mumbai. Chandni is eagerly awaiting meeting her minnie didi... they talk for a while and then decide to go to sleep... next we see Chandni's parents at home and they are missing her. Chandni's mother says that without her, the house is lonely and that she is the life of the household. Her father agrees but her mother says that there is no need to get her married of so soon. They continue to talk for a while and the scene switches back to the train compartment where Chandni and biji are sound asleep.
Adi slowly enters the compartment in the darkness... and this is funny, but he notices that biji has tied the loose end of her dupatta to the suitcase handle. Adi takes one step forward and suddenly, he falls down! Chandni wakes up and switches on the light, Adi discovers that he had got stuck in a maxe of threads that biji and Chandni had laid, and tripped. The zip of his jacket is stuck to Chandni's dupatta, and some other passengers enter the compartment ans witness this embarassing scene.
Chandni playfully accuses Adi of may things that he definitely did not intend to do. He looks thoroughly pissed off with her and the others start threatening Adi. Chandni says - "mere paas ek upaay hai... agar hum iske haath rassi se baandh de, phir ye baaki ke safar pe hume tang nahiin karega..." Adi looks thorougly incredulous as Chandni ties up his hands amid the vigorous nods of her fellow turbaned passengers. He makes a face but has little choice.
Yeh hai Mumbai meri jaan!
Next, we see our fightclub duo on mumbai soil, Adi's home ground and Chandni's dream destination. Chandni is standing alone outside the train, waiting for biji to emerge. She is dreaming about minnie didi and india calling. She turns around and is taken aback to find Adi standing facing her. She makes a face. He hitches a cocky smile onto his face and says - "listen bebe, tum nahiin jaanti ki main kaun hoon. Mera naam hai Aditya Khanna. Agar zindagi mein phir kabhi yeh naam kahiin sunaai de, toh apna raasta badal lene - get it!" Chandni is now put off by him and replies with equal venom - "mera naam hai Chandni, Chandni Kapoor. Agar inhi galat fehmiyon ke sahare tumhein kuch aur saal jeene ho, to yaad rakhna, is naam ki ladki ka raasta mat kaantna!"
He grimaces, shrugs and walks past her. But Chandni's dupatta gets stuck to his bag and as they stand 5 metres apart, it slowly starts to tear and they stare at each other. Finally, the dupatta completely tears and Adi walks away. Biji comes out from the train and together, they wait for Manisha to arrive. But after a while biji starts to feel that perhaps, just the way Manisha had refused to come to jalandhar, probably, she didn't want to meet them at the station as well. chandni dismisses this saying that Manisha is probably busy at work and since they don't know the real story, they shouldn't be worried.
Biji agrees to this and then Chandni pulls out minnie didi's india calling business card from her purse and suggests that they go to the call centre and look for Manisha. They land up in the call centre and enter the recption area where the receptionist is sitting. They don't notice her and try to walk right in but the receptionist stops them and speaks very rudely. Chandni is hurt and they try to explain to the security guard that they have come to meet someone, but they refuse to listen. Finally, the security in-charge turns up and they tell him the story. He asks whether anyone is the office knows a girl called Manisha Kapoor, but no one knows her. Chandni then gives him minnie didi's visiting card, but he points out that the name 'Manisha Kapoor' is not printed anywhere on the card.
Finally biji pretends as though she is not well and in the ensuing commotion, no one notices Chandni sneaking in through the door. She walks down the corridor and admires everything there from the colours to the paintings, she knows every inch of this place well even though she has never been there because her sister has described the whole place to her in vivid detail. She recalls their conversations on the phone and follows the directions her sister gave her. Finally, she locates the door that looks exactly the way her sister described her own cabin door.
She bursts in, but notices somebody else sitting there.
