I feel the following reasons for Agastya ka death

- first and foremost the creatives were way too confident that with the same Jodi they can create the magic all again.
- they miscalculated Agastya ka impression on the audience. They thought only 2 timing MLs are flavor of the season.

- all the potential kalesh storylines got exhausted in the show. After all the troubles Agastya-Imlie went through it really was not feasible to separate them for small reasons like ex coming back. Even Binni track would not be there as Agastya telling the truth means she would have zero standing in the house.
- So they went ahead with Agastya death and bought in Surya. They could have done memory loss track but they miscalculated the introduction and got Raghu as the starting point.

- Had they gotten Binni kicked out and Chaudharys accepting Imlie then after a year or so Surya - Imlie meeting and the Anjaana kashish between them with Imlie doubting him to be her babu and family not believing, it would have been awesome.

Slowly they could have shown Tayiji ka possessiveness and we could have been given hints that Tayiji lost her son and she might have exchanged the bodies on the accident day and Surya is Agastya only the story would have worked wonders. Imlie could have gotten her Satyavan back just like Savitri.

But apni creative team has to go ahead an kill the golden goose in their greed

What I don't get is.. Gul and her team is in the industry for so long...How could they go wrong to this extent..

IB me bhi they pulled weird stunts.. but every plot was properly shown, without much stretch, and still every aspect was explored to the right amount... Infact they kept on introducing new enemies and new lovers/ third angles... And story kept on going...

But yahan, aisi kya garaj thi ki itna jaldi Auggy ko maar diya.. 😭

2-3 mahine tak kheech lete avilable plots ko, phir risk lete.. This is what I don't get.. Was there any other pressure on the PH to take this big of a risk...

@bold : - That might be SP ka pressure. Every show in SP is a triangle one with 1 ML and 2 FLs with the only exception of 10pm show where it is multiple triangles with every character having exes and present spouses and they keep on flipping. Even the new show launch of Avinash is a story between 2 friends falling for same guy. The 2 other shows in pipeline Sobo films and Leena’s new show are again 1 ML with 2 Fls.

Sobo films ka toh is pathetic story line with the ML having relationships with 2 sisters and down the lane both get pregnant with the guy.

So this seems to be the channel ka template. Ab where can Imlie fit in this template? They got in Vishwa but again chickened out as Agastya - Imlie had more pull on audience. So they got in Surya but then they should have gone the memory loss way. That is where they missed the boat. It could have been good If Tayiji had changed the bodies that day and Anjali was their choice and Imlie uncovers the truth. Tayiji and Imlie could give Tashan to each other and Surya could have felt this unexpected pull towards her. Sigh

Matlab I am not able to accept the fact ki Gul who made IPK, IB, Geet.. really would have wanted a triangle

And Maybe instead of that route, she took the shock value one.. that backfired big time 💔

Yup they took the shock value route and it back fired terribly. So now they are in damage control mode and making Surya strong again and getting the angst between Imlie - Surya.

And I personally feel Gul also has moved towards the 1 guy 2 girls storyline since Imlie. Both seasons of Imlie were 2 half sisters falling for the same guy. Even Gul ka new show for Colors is Imlie remake. So I feel Gul herself has lost touch in how to write iconic love stories like IPK or Geet or IB. Woh waali Gul alag thi. We need to accept that fact

Haina? Seems like itv has run out of plots & storylines now. It's the same dung, merely wrapped in different colors lol

Dekhna how after few weeks of showing "a pathbreaking" storyline, they settle down for two sisters fighting for the same guy
