And like another poster here I have seen some episodes of the show Krishna Chali London. Is it confirmed that Karan Vohra is the male lead😆 Ya, that chap does a mumbling sort of dialogue delivery but he's okayish as an actor. More importantly, he has played only the shirt-ripping, abs-displaying, macho male leads that is the stuff fanfiction is made of🤣 Jaaniya fans are likely to have tough competition because this stuff is just lapped up by many.

I am still looking forward to their pairing though😛 They had decent chemistry.

@bold: This guy ALSO does mumbling dialogue delivery? 🤣....well isn't that just PEACHY🤣. Makes him all the more perfect for a Gul universe....the more he mumbles, the more fangirls will swoon and ofcourse shirtless abs are the stuff fan-fics are made for, right? As people proved episode 310 onwards....whole show has just been a trash fan-fic come to life😆

Anyways I'll take your word for the decent chemistry between the new leads. The bar has already been lowered so much post 310, only way to go is up from here😆

*Edit: Sorry forgot to answer your question....yes KV is confirmed as the new ML. There are already pics out of him shooting for the show....here you go

Ooh laa laaaa🤣 Hayyeee, he is showing his toned physique already *fans herself*🤣 Fanfiction writers are already sharpening their pens as we speak.

Haha, yes, he does do a mumbling sort of dialogue delivery but he isn't so bad😛😆 He actually improved a lot from his first show of which I watched a couple of episodes. Jaaniya is in for a lot of competition because his first show in particular had a legion of crazy fans🤣 He actually replaced the male lead in his second show starring Megha and actually improved the TRP's despite joining late. In other words, he was the Jaaniya in his second show🤣 (barring the fact that the first male lead there couldn't act well in contrast to Gashmeer who is certainly a powerhouse performer, and that Jaaniya actually decreased the TRP's😆).

I am hardly looking for good writing and an evolving dynamic between leads these days (it died with ShivIka for me😭), so why not watch this one for time-pass? I am sure the majority of the ITV audience also thinks that way. Once the story is stale, they just wanna see new faces and lots of DRAAAMAAAA🥳🤣

@bold: Oh lord the HILARIOUS IRONY of it all🤣🤣🤣.....looks like he has great experience in being the Jaaniya so he can OUT-JAANIYA the Jaaniya of this show easily then😆

GM took off on his own path after leaving his mark in the original story.....woh kaafi hai for the people who watched the original 300😆.....ab toh show new viewers ke hawaale saathiyon....please enjoy😆

Good writing is a mirage these days anyways....people hide behind labels but are basically just watching everything 😆

Absolutely, we all watch ITV because some aspect of it catches our attention. The cultural references are familiar, we find the female protagonist/pairing/ensemble family drama appealing (be it the story/performance/chemistry), and of course, we have all grown up watching these shows. So why not?

Honestly most of the audience just wants something on to regale themselves for time-pass- even in the era of tons of OTT apps, TV watching is perhaps one of the few avenues which people do as a family (even though that's changing, I am sure). They want lots of drama and lambe bhashans a la Anupama. It is notable that the no 1 TRP show has more family drama despite introducing a female-empowering male protagonist. The audience does like a good pair but more importantly, it wants to see the heroine undergoing trials and tribulations and emerging triumphant, only to repeat the toxic family drama again😆 The online fan-girling hardly does anything for the ratings. If only the fan girls ranting on social media and giving baddua to the producer realize that!

I agree, he was convincing as a doctor in that one. I am looking forward to S2 now😆 For the pairing, the rehashed plot and of course, all the offscreen drama from fans that I can be a spectator of🤣

Oh my gosh!! Came here as soon as I got to know Megha-Karan are the new leads 🥳 My KrishVeer heart is all excited and happy to see them back together Never in my wildest dream did I think that I’ll ever get to see them again after KCL. So so happy! 🥳

Wish them all the best for the show and I’m definitely gonna start watching the show now. Although I’ll always be reminded of Dr. Veer and how he wooed Krishna whenever I see Karan and Megha in this new show😆

You two are still watching it kya? I’m gonna watch it regularly from now on I guess for this new season😳😆

Agree with your points here, Amri.

Speaking of the history of Imlie as a show, it was started with the cultural references from a village....no Gul FL has been as rustic as the original Imlie in terms of distinct lingo....so that was the pull for those who watched in the beginning maybe. But now it's become beyond stale since Gul never managed to evolve the story properly and the village lingo only ended up becoming a gimmick rendering the actress also a caricature speaking it.

Now Gul is moving away from that and back to the city with the character of a seedhi saadhi city girl Imlie2....lol people can mock the repetitiveness of the tropes all they want but ITV ka bread and butter still remain sanskaari FLs only and baaki toh melodrama aata hi rahega in classic Gul fashion.

Original Imlie was weakened to prop up her second hero as her savior.....Imlie2 shuru se hi docile lag rahi hai so that her new ML can swoop in as savior easily😆
