I don't know what others have posted about Megha's age but she does look the same age as the other actress or slightly older, whereas she is playing the younger sister's role. Obviously, those who are comparing her agewise to Sumbul and Fahmaan are being ridiculous and don't deserve any comments. As though if their characters had lived, they would have remained young sadabahaar!

Thanks for the backdrop. Yes, the lead pair does seem to have chemistry from their previous casting together. It is already unusual that Gul is repeating a pair (she never usually does that😆) and the channel also agreed to repeat a pair from their own channel.

The ML seems to be made for Gul type stories....toh let's see where she takes it😆

well technically its not guls pair so she can repeat them lol maybe the channel wanted their own input coz both leads happened to be in their old show. The channel does like to use same actors who it has worked with lol they did have potential for sure. The actor and his previous show on zeetv were pretty popular and so was his pairing not a conventional one but they had a good amount of fans online and the show did ok trp wise. It wont matter how hot the pairing is if the story is crap so gul has to make it good coz now the show isnt a remake of some og bengali show its a clean slate lol Though I have been a silent spectator of the show and forum lets see what gul serves us lol thanks lol

I don't know why, but I keep feeling Gul rushed into this leap business because of Udaariyaan. I swear both the promos look the same, except ML is not yet shown in the Imlie 2.0 promo. I have never watched Udaariyan but the number of comments from that fandom on every Insta post is staggering!

But that show isnt even in the rival slot lol That aeroplane show is basically rinse and repeating the first season storyline with some tweaks about two sisters raised together but totally different and the idiot guy stuck between them lol the new season of imlie who knows what they can show coz now they have a clean slate to do anything lol Gul must have woken up one day and just wanted to start the show anew lol hence she rushed lol but she has done this many times sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt lol

The only "clean slate" they are getting is some name changes for the characters and maybe a few character traits shifted here or there😆.....rest will be usual Gul formula only.

I think the reason she's removed the whole cast is to atleast change the faces warna that would have been faltu baggage in trying to sell the gen leap. Now she can try a mix and match approach of recasting previously paired leads and then tweaking the story here or there a bit to continue a love triangle in the new generation.

One major shift will be that the story will no longer be about the village v/s city divide. Now both FLs are city girls only😆....and both seem rich too unlike how their mom started as a poor village girl.

Unless they call it an official remake, I'm skeptical about this claim of this generation being remake of IN.

Sure, there are similarities to the YRKHH gen 3 storyline but I doubt audience cares either way....they just want to see how the execution is😆. Isn't the ML supposed to be a doctor as per that show? Unless we get news of the ML for Imlie season 2 also being a doctor, can't say for sure.

Gul hasnt had a original show probably since Geet lol and even that had remnants of ekta shows lol Now she has a template and she mixes and matches things to find the right formula lol she got lucky with her fantasy genre initially and her remake shows like kulfi and imlie coz she had a partner and a different template to work with but if she is making that other bengali show oh gosh lol i read the story on wiki its as weird as they come lol rishta tried to do that they even copied the promo but now they are just coping stuff from their previous season coz they rushed the love story and dont know how to progress them any further lol

ITV and its obsession with ruining sibling bonds over a gal or guy is so annoying lol I miss the days of ek hazaron where siblings were close and not becoming vamps lol

Gul not making her fl poor is gonna be shocking if they go by the promo lol

I actually like the lead actress, AY. She is a solid performer and not a namby-pamby as so many actors from ITV seem to be nowadays.

And like another poster here I have seen some episodes of the show Krishna Chali London. Is it confirmed that Karan Vohra is the male lead😆 Ya, that chap does a mumbling sort of dialogue delivery but he's okayish as an actor. More importantly, he has played only the shirt-ripping, abs-displaying, macho male leads that is the stuff fanfiction is made of🤣 Jaaniya fans are likely to have tough competition because this stuff is just lapped up by many.

I am still looking forward to their pairing though😛 They had decent chemistry.

I agree. And yes, from a story point of view they had exhausted all possible plot lines for S1. They had already revamped the story once by removing the hero and all his family members. They could hardly do it again without starting afresh with a clean slate, lol.
