I agree to an extent. He has not yet seen Imlie breaking down. He doesn't know the pain Imlie too must have experienced, losing her own child. After the MC, both blamed each other and in the heat of the moment, said stupid things which resulted in the separation. He will definitely soften a lot once he understands Imlie's pain. I'm confident especially because of today's episode. The moment Imlie mentions that she too has gone through the pain of losing a loved one and breaks down crying, there is a split second reaction on Aryan's face where he too breaks down seeing her pain but he then goes back to 'Main tumse nafrat karta' hoon vala angry mode very quickly again. I think that is because of all the walls he has built around his heart after Imlie left 5 years ago. He has been hurt too badly and can't let her in. So he's fighting hard to keep up the farce of hating her, because he cannot afford to be broken again. But no matter how strong the walls are, her tears will always find a way in. Her tears hold a certain power over him that he just cannot fight or resist, he can only surrender and bow down and give into them. So one of these days, when he realises how much pain Imlie has also experienced, there is just no way he will be able to keep himself from comforting her. Comforting her and protecting her is second nature to him. How long will he be able to keep fighting against himself?

What I feel is he has woven this thick net around him that net only let him feel only what he wants to feel i.e. his pain. Rest all the things he is not letting them reach at himself. I didn't say as wall but a net because I feel it's fragile and deep down he didn't put a wall just because he want someone to pull him out of that net. To be very precise he wants Imlie to pull him out. So he is not letting him see anything on the other side of the net. And now that she is has come back he is trying to stop her from pulling her out because he is now totally confused as what he should do. So he is doing the best he can do at the moment, he hurts Imlie so that she can't come closer to him as he doesn't want to suffer the pain of loosing her again and that is why he is unknowingly just putting his pain as the shield.

P. S. I don't know if I made sense but I don't know if I could put my thoughts in words.

Latha, tagging you in this thread and particularly in this post & check the subsequent discussions, so that you would come across many who share the same sentiment as ours on how the angst shown is one sided and why we can still connect to Aryan even when he is wrong. Share your thoughts too in this regard.

When you originally posted this post and mentioned about Imilie"s treatment to her mother compared to Malini VS Cheeni.

I was thinking about Aryan's insecurities.

First of all I am not defending Imilie but the way she behaves with Aryan and Meethi as taking them for granted compared to all the other her "Apne" be it Tripati, Malini.

It's as how we are polite with outsiders but when it comes to Apne we forgets to treat them with due respect. Typical example:. We tell off our children quickly , with someone else's we tend to be more polite because we feel we don't have that right. Which is wrong but not uncommon. Likewise Imilie doesn't really show her love for these two people in her life thinking because they always accepted for who she is, and in her mind she feels she doesn't need to reassure them in expressions.

Wr to Aryan's insecurities, he does understand Imilie without saying anything but still what he seen as her love in her previous marriage was her running behind Adi and his family all the time. do things for them beyond her capabilities, breaking down, He had really visually seen it.

In their own marriage, it started as a forced marriage and it wasn't really shown why and how Imilie fallen for him. Does he know which quality of his that she fell for? When? Why? How? I doubt it. Even after the confession he had that hesitation if he is her choice. Then on things went really fast. What Imilie does for him and his family, he acknowledges but does he know if it's out of duty or her love for him? That too for him or the family members? Or just merely her nature to protect others? Even at the end of their marriage track he aknowledged that he can't keep Imilie from helping/sacrificing for others because that's her nature, that is who Imilie is.

He always felt a little insecured, in the form of he isn't her choice, his monologues, wether she got married to his mum and sister says it, would you get me anything in the flower incident with Jo, he craved for her to show her rights on him, fight for her haq on him.

He needs to givve himself the credit that he never made her feel insecured. Be it BD, Jo or the fact even the relationship with his mother/sister. He has perfect place for each relationship that he cleared the path for Imilie"s insecurities. Only person she felt jealous of was kairi which is herself only. This man needs to understand that he made her secured in their relationship that she trust him blindly. Even after leap I don't think Imilie had the doubt that he moved on with someone else. Where when Aryan saw her with Cheeni , he was scared if she moved on with someone else.

Then when he saw her obsession for Adi"s child his insecurities resurfaced. when Imilie said Malini haven't changed, he replied you haven'teither Imilie. I am not really sure if her obsession is due to her guilt in Malini's PF or her childhood trauma resurfaced.

Of course Imilie has done a lot for him but I am not sure if he feels how much she's effected by him and loves him, adores him. Not sure if he understands , he is not only her husband/lover but her everything. That's why he was shocked seeing how she's living by his teachings and passing on to others/him or Cheeni. He was amused by her teachings to Cheeni. He is eager to know how she lives and if she talks about him, if she is holding on to their memories. This man needs to see that she has carefully instilled his teaching in her life , she has become how he wanted her to be, strong. She isn't looking for someone else to pull her from breaking down, he is with her in the form of his teaching although he is physically away.

He needs to understand his love has made her stronger. In his monologues he asked why she didn't stay and fight with him for him, why did she walk away, why didn't she call him. He needs to understand that she didn't walk away in the heat of the moment , neither in anger nor any hate but it's her love for him. She knows his pain, and she did what little she can do to liberate the little pain she can for him. She has done it for him and him only with a heavy heart. It's her way of toot harvpyar Karna. She left not for her self-respect but to reduce a little of his pain.

I think more than NDE, he needs to see her breaking down, especially once Miscarriage PF happens and her breakdown along with her rage on Malini. He needs to know why Cheeni is not calling her Amma but lby her name. He needs to see how she goes through hell thinking she couldn't protect her of wn child and in the process her husband, her everything. How she hears her child calling her to help and she failed. He needs to see her inner turmoil.

I wondered what made Aryan to take that car and drive to PD after listening to Bani when he wasn't bothered about BT.

He says he sees her eyes shining in happiness around Cheeni, is this why he left PD?

If it's going towards Shiv Parvati track then he needs to know he is her Ardanatheshwar (half Shiv half Parvati).

He needs to see the power of his love over her that she's not willing to fight it.

When he left PD he said I am leaving breaking rishta and hearts. He is scared of loosing her again. he is running away trying to self preserve himself. He is craving for her to pull him out. Their interactions with eachother ended up in venting out their angerr and disappointment, which has masked their true feelings for eachother. He often arise this flickering hope within himself but ends up covering with hate to self preserve himself.

I often wonder instead of Imilie coming to support him after miscarriage masking her own pain, had she been the weakest of both, would Aryan feels the same?

Harani....Agreeing to each & every point you have elaborated. I think Imlie never tried to understand the depth with which Aryan loved her. Below is one such instance where I was appalled at Imlie not revealing to Aryan Kairi's reality, even after seeing how desperate & regretful he was, being away from her one night. As you said, she was taking everything for granted, because Aryan has never given her a reason to feel insecure, because of which she didn't have the fear of loosing him.
