Generation leap isn't Gul's thing unfortunately but she doesn't seem to learn the lesson. Rather than a generation leap she could've ended this & started a fresh story where Aryan & Imlie meet in different circumstances. She could've retained the names but changed the character traits like made Imlie grumpy & Aryan as the old happy ho lucky Aru. A matured Imlie whose only focused on her dreams & aspirations while Aru is a rich brat who has no proper goals in life. I mean there are better ways to have a season2 with SuMaan par ma'am doesn't have brains to think. How dumb can someone be to let go off a pair like SuMaan aur woh bhi tab jab they're finally getting noticed. Khud ne to kabhi inhe promote karne ki koshish nhi ki ab jab hype mil rhi h tab ise sab barbaad karna hai. Sigh!

even as an arylie fan, I was wondering why they did that. maybe I am an outlier but my view is simply based on life -- people fall out of love and get divorced. it is happening in our society. 🤷 there is nothing unusual about that. sometimes stuff doesn't work out. so a more mature way would have been to address why and how a marriage failed. .

never thought I would say this but it makes me appreciate ekta serials more -- there would be couple swaps and divorces but they never deny that there were moments where they had feelings. instead, that is used to fuel how much they hate each other now. 😂 so much masala! 😆

as for the original story, apparently it depends on the version of the story you watch. in some, she ends up walking away and aditya and malini get back together. in another, malini ends up with someone else. so I am not sure what Gul is talking about because she and her team deviated from the original story long ago and so was writing their own stuff...

I agree. This all will change when Hindi tv shows will become limited number of episodes where the makers should know where the story will start and will end. Since it is a daily soap they can stretch a bit but not as a never ending tail. If am not wrong any show can be stretched up to 1 year max and after that a logical end can be given. When an art form will become only about business, then these kind of things are bound to happen.

I really feel that this would be best. 6 months or more, the stories are tight and there is a proper ending. now even with a limited number of episodes, things can still go haywire if the original story has not enough juice and the writers don't know what to do but at the end of the day, there is always another serial to look forward to

They can still get him play a younger character and continue!!!

Anyway by now channel would have already decided what to do . .. This is not a one day thing , it might be going on for months.

No matter how much fans request it won't change channel's or makers decision since they have a lot of stake in it.

This has happened with many serials !!!

Let it go and wish the best to all in Imliie team We will see them in other shows !!! All are super good actors and will have lots of work !!
