Faloodaji....I understand the frustrations that you are having from the show and how it's affecting your viewing experience. Bcos, sometimes I too go through the same, like it happened yesterday. But to expect the show that runs on a national GEC to take turns in the story as we wish and that too on a TRP hungry channel like SP is like the wish of a kid to have Chandamama in his/her hands. That's why I have repeatedly clarified that I have neither problems with how the leap happened nor with the channel's requirement to involve kids in the show. Now coming to Imlie specifically, apart from these routine hurdles faced by every show, Imlie had its own share of hurdles in the form of offscreen politics between the team & actors who quit (which we are aware of) and channel & team (which we are not aware off, but I have guessed from some recent happenings). Aur galti chaahe kiska bhi ho, everything finally comes down to the ratings, the 3rd point where our show doesn't have the options enjoyed by other shows. Being at a timeslot with tough competitors like TMKOC, EK show, primetime news time and occasionally the finishing overs of cricket matches, Imlie managed to be the slot leader until Malini's re-entry which is now another shock to the makers. I think they didn't expect viewers to reject Malini's re-entry and I would blame only the fools who decided not to give even 1day breathing space to the viewers after Jyo's PF and Malini's re-entry. How long will the viewers put up with a show that has been airing negativity filled episodes ever since Jyo's entry. And I would say whatever TRP they are getting now is only because of the leads chemistry and Keva. Because that's the only positive factors that are attracting TRP viewers who watch the show for entertainment. Plus, to add to these all, a new channel which was launched a month back is now airing break-free episodes since last week and their show that competes with Imlie starts at 8.15pm. How's the checkmate? And I think that they might be one reason of the drop in ratings of all SP shows except Anupama, especially if that channel's subscription fee too is less. So, what I meant to say is that it can be two ways with Imlie - either Imlie can be in danger and might go off in next 2-3months as it is now constantly loosing it's slot leader position or has only 0.1 difference with it's competitor show. Or it can be that since the competition is so tight, channel might not take a risk to launch a new show unless they are so confident that they can beat the popularity our leads already had & have additionally gained with the RWSP show. So instead, channel might force Gul to be more serious about the show. So, I am now going with 50-50 chances.
Apart from that I still find Imlie better than other shows for the same reasons listed below.
P.S. Check your PM for my assumptions on the politics between channel and team.
