I'm watching just the Arylie scenes while fast forwarding everything else

And I don't know guys I'm still rooting for ASR and think that his current stand is because of his past experiences and the unresolved feelings which were not resolved after Arvind's death.

I don't want any physical separation, emotional may be. I want Aryan to burn in guilt and self-hatred and how Imlie becomes the building light in his life. A role-reversal of sorts for them

i’m actually liking the layers and indirect implications of the current conflict. it’s interesting that Jyothi pulled the ultimate trick from Malini’s book by playing their situation against Aryan and Imlie, just as Malini did with Aditya and Imlie with the divorce papers. this could actually go down the way it did when Aditya said that Malini might have sent the papers, but it was ultimately Aditya and Imlie that signed it. i’d like to see what this spells for Aryan and Imlie.

I feel this is what they are heading off . After this track, I have a feeling they will be opening aryan's trauma part. This is why they are making him so admant so that when reveal happens and Imlie MC , this guy will loose it and have massive breakdown . He will go through imence guilt ,might also.push Imlie away and will again become closed off.

With the acting chops leads have, it will be so good if they explore it

Yesterday, Imlie's little speech in star parivaar about her udaan and Aryan's support got me emotional. And I figured out why- that's the story we were promised and never given. Instead this mind numbingly boring pregnancy drama. Not only did they rush it, they then fell prey to massive baby fever. It's 20 mins of cheeku-pregnancy-waaris-infertility for the past two weeks now. Unlike a lot of people, i actually think both Aryan and Imlie are right in their stance (though Aryan announcing Imlie being assaulted in public like that was a massive violation), I don't think either of them are butchered or even uncharacteristic. In that sense the writing is fine. I'm just very very very very very bored.

The appeal in these kind of shows are the leads and their love story and I'll be resentful forever of the fact that they had MULTIPLE gold mines in that sense that they always sacrificed for the sake of a cliche.

Right after the Malini pardafash, Imlie mentioned losing faith in love and relationships- that was potential for a beautiful track sacrificed for the sake of a ridiculous, boring, shaadi track. After Imlie chooses to stay in the marriage after the closure of the Arvind death track, they should have focused on AryLie and their feelings for each other developing, changing. Instead, the boring, ridiculous Sunpita and baby tracks. Uff. It's clearly a trend.

Not to mention, not one single character in this show apart from Imlie and Aryan have even the hint of some depth. Which means the show ka central conflict has been driven for MONTHS by pitting Imlie and Aryan against each other. Pehle shaadi track mein, phir closure track mein, phir Sunpita track mein, ab yahaan- sure, their conflict is driven by wanting the best for each other, but it's still always them being against each other, when they're a couple who shine the brightest when their USP, their partnership, is in focus.

I want to say I'll watch the show again once there is no more Cheeku at the center of it all.... but they wrote themselves into a corner with this, because there is no way to walk back a pregnancy that both parents want so badly. A miscarriage isn't a reset, unfortunately, it's a massively traumatic event. There will be grief and guilt and mourning and it's...as unappealing to me as the baby itself so 🤷🏻‍♀️

I was really looking forward to Imlie finding faith, love again after questioning seeta maiya. Even the narrative suggested that. I still can't understand why they had to change the narrative. Even if I make peace with current story but what if will remain bcz when you realise the beauty of story that it would have been Imlie struggling to accept that what she feels for aryan feels so right than what she felt for adi in a year of marriage , aryan dealing with his grief and letting go his survivour's guilt. So so many beautiful tracks.

The only reason I'm looking forward to post baby track is bcz I feel via this they will reopen aryan's trauma plot.

Also, saturday's dream sequence touched me so much that it brought the feelz that I was missing.

.Rest I was hoping for a ML of one of them so I could get my slow burn this time .

I can tell you why they switched narratives- 4Lions hates creativity. If you look at Gul's latest interview about Ashiqana, it's hilarious when they talk about their casting process: ML aisa hona chahiye, jo na bolta hua accha lage. FL aisi honi chahiye, jo zyaada bolti hui acchi lage.

Every 4Lions show is a remake of each other with some components changed. Angry young man ML with dher saara paisa and traumatic past. ML ke siblings, jinse woh bohot pyaar karta hai, who are the chink in his armor of stoicness. Chirpy manic-pixie-dream-girl type of FL, whose power of love cures ML of past trauma. Fizool ki tashanbaazi. Etc etc etc.

Imlie was different for two reasons- remake tha, and Gul was just producer, kaafi hands off thi. Aryan ki entry was supposed to be a return to the classic-4L story for Imlie. Hence the introduction with the classic 4L ML style and the iconic "ASR" initials.

Gadbad yahaan hui inse- they never set out to make Aryan such a progressive, feminist guy. Not did they set out to make AryLie such a healthy, equal relationship. All they wanted was to make Aryan the polar opposite of AKT in everything, and AryLie the opposite of Aditya-Imlie. Ab yeh baat alag hai ki the previous ML and the relationship were SO problematic, ki uska opposite accidentally became healthy, wholesome, feminist.

Ab jab yeh ho gaya toh the usual 4L tropes of zabardasti ki shaadi, infidelity waali misunderstandings, woh sab applicable nahi hai, won't fit. So kuch naya sochna padega. Naya sochne mein effort lagta hai, woh lagaana nahi, why do that when the same old cookie cutter remakes of previous shows can still bring them audiences? So let this run jaisa chalta hai jab tak chalta hai, but they'll put in efforts in their other shows, where the typical 4L plots and cliches can work.

Also, if Imlie does miscarry, I would hope for more of a focus on Imlie TBH- short lived pregnancy husband ko samjhaane mein lag gayye ki baby uska hai, and then the emotional and physical trauma of losing a baby. Focusing on Aryan more there will be...eh. But they do that a lot in general- take physical injuries also, Aryan is just landing up in hospitals every 3-4 weeks, and Imlie shakes off any and all attempts on her life within 15-20 mins tops. Another 4L trope- blow up the MLs trauma and play down the FLs.

I voted for only Arylie content. And will continue this way, because Aryan is too precious for me, I might lose my interest if I see the full episode circus of Baba Jyo, BM or Aryan-Jyo bonding...

Honestly, the FF mode with Narmada flip, infertility taunts, Jyo kaands I really don't know what to expect from serial anymore. I can't say I am looking for ML, separation or MC. Because it needs both good story and execution which is missing from last few weeks.

They have mellow down the ASR persona at home too which I don't like. The way BM talks nonsense, why he listens silently. Talking behind his back is fine but it's like he has no position or power now, why?

She keeps taunting Sundar who is his BIL, when he holds such high regards for Arvind how come he allows BM to keep insulting him daily. BM and BD are guest, Sundar is like Son to Narmada he should get that respect as house belongs to Narmada. Why doesn't he point out that BD is guest who is having muft ki roti in her language, since she is not related at all. When Jyo Aryan can stay for months, why Imlie's friend Kairi can't stay; infact she is here to work. BM racist below belt comments are too much for me. I loved Aryan for calling out T family as toxic but his silence on BM surprise me. Isn't his own family becoming toxic now. Is this the same ASR?

Narmada, I rather not comment, I miss the old Kaki maa than this Saas. They have to show all Saas are bad and toxic when initially we were promised a happy, supporting R family. Thanks but no thanks, not interested in full episode, if this is what they will show.

So well said. You pointed out few hard realities which makers are conveniently ignoring. Let's see if and how they bring themselves out of this mess..
