I really don't have a clue why they edit it. I used to think they didn't want to show violence or blood or anything morally reprehensible but I don't think that's even the case anymore. I'm starting to think they cut scenes so they can accommodate more commercials.

They show Imlie at 10:30 pm which is well past the watershed time so violence shouldn't be an issue. Interestingly on Sunday when they telecast the omnibus edition they include the cut scenes, that's why I think it's all about revenue. The Imlie omnibus edition only has reruns of two episodes, the Friday and Saturday ones so you'd miss out the episodes from the rest of the week if you thought of only watching the omnibus.

Unfortunately the majority of the scenes that I noticed they cut are ones with Aryan. Damn them. I'll give a few other examples. Remember when Imlie was kidnapped by Puran Das and his men and Aryan was running after her, leaping on top of cars and getting hit by cars and doing parkour and stuff. Us in the UK saw none of that. All we saw was from the moment Aryan gets up off the ground and limps whilst chasing after that van. No Aryan on top of the car. Even with older episodes. I remember that episode when Aryan found Imlie sleeping in the BT office and he threw her out only to follow her with water and find her being harassed by those thugs. We didn't see the thugs snatching her dupatta and throwing it away and Aryan catching it mid-air. All we got was him putting it back around her shoulders. They are many many others. It's a big problem because it disrupts the flow of the scenes and makes a lot of episodes look disjointed.

Even more annoying for me were the subtitles on one of the other episodes maybe the day before or the day before that. They kept calling Aryan Aditya. For a while in that episode I was really miffed at Imlie coz it seemed as if she was ruing losing Aditya and was missing him. It was only later when Aryan was mentioned by name but they put Aditya on the subtitles that I finally twigged who they were talking about all along.

I actually don't know if they do this with other shows because I don't watch any other shows nor frequent other forums where I would likely find out if others complained too. Oh, hang on. I lie. I think I watched one episode of Anupamaa where Anuj was attacked by goons and Anupamaa had to drag him into his car and drive him to the hospital. They cut the whole sequence of Anuj fighting the goons so maybe they do do it with other shows too.

that is WILD, and the commercials thing makes a lot of sense. the bangla channels in the US had similar issues, but instead of edits, all the shows just ran past each other's timeslots making my mom DVRing things really chaotic bc we'd start an ep and it would be missing the first few minutes or the last few minutes.

the subtitle issue was the same for hulu and hotstar so i guess the subtitle tracks are the same across all the places that the eps are available but then for the utsav airing they just edit whatever scene is cut and subtitle out same time? the omnibus ep thing is interesting too! i don't think we saw that here

I am sure butterflies are going to somersault in Imlie's mind and heart after this one touch by Aryan, it is going to leave her in a daze...☺️

And I won't be surprised at all if after the scene, Aryan keeps staring long and hard at his palm and fingers that held Imlie for quite sometime, trying to savor the moment...

Now I want something more out of the Lehenga Imlie is going to wear...Something more for Aryan Imlie, the lehenga should do the honors...😆
