I don't think so. Imlie got almost a big boost with Aryan entry for addiitonal 200 + epis. With only Adi Imlie and Malini - the trp's would have dropped a lot faster.

What is like a boost looks like mere survival tactics to me which could not even survive for magic number 310.

And the fact remains that Aditya Kumar Tripathi's character left the show willingly (both the times) while best ML-FL jodi are being ended by Production house. This itself makes it clear what stands where. Rest my case here.

I too believe that show would've had ~ 2.5 trp with initial cast.

Case in point ghum hai kisi ke pyar me.

This story would have totally gone that way minus the surrogacy off course

Ofcourse AKT character was a well thought and written character. You seldom meet a person who is coward and hide behind words of mere teenagers. Take a permanent shelter under deceit and call it true lourve🤡 or soulmatisim🎃 ,i would love to meet such person in real life -NOT

And yes he might have brought 2.5 TRP in a pandemic situation since no other medium of entertainment was available.you got to do with whatever is available.

What is shocking is people saying that AKT put himself in a condition where Malini could have raped him. This is similar thinking which blames women of encouraging men to assault them by wearing short dresses, by smiling etc etc. He was in his room in his own house for God sake.
