OK, now to unpopular opinion. I know Sundar is a nice guy, but the Sundar- Arpita alliance leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Call me a classist or whatever.🤔 But, I don't see any compatibility between those two. I mean hated the self-pity of " naukar" " imaandaar, not a thief", I am just a poor man who can't be vying for you👎🏼 I mean, there is a deep emotional bond they built between Imlie and Aryan, that makes us all root for them. Here I am not even talking about a class difference, but what are they going to talk about if they were a couple? His self pity and her trying to assuage and reassure him? I wish the writers have built him up, like how they showed Imlie rising despite her background, trying hard to achieve something. I am not saying everybody has to be ambitious, I am not able to articulate well, but what makes him think that Arpita would reciprocate his feelings? I mean at which level? He is a nice guy alright, but then what else? I have said this before, I am nice to my driver, as I don't have any reason to be rude. But, if he starts seeing me as his love interest, because I have been normal. nice, I will surely hit the roof😡 This has left a bad taste in my mouth😵 Don't like it, unless they give a deeper connection somewhere between Arpita and Sundar🤔. I think the precap maybe something Imlie is saying about second chances to Arpita about having a jeevan saathi. I got that sense as Aryan is intently listening

so I haven't seen today's episode yet but thought I will share my view. the initial interactions between the two didn't really catch my interest. sundar didn't seem an interesting character and a pairing with arpita seemed a bit odd and uneven.

however, I changed my mind because of one scene. this was the interaction that made me think they could be a cute pair.

she was freaking out about dropping the haldi and totally unnerved by blue aunty's words about misfortune. then Sundar very gently calmed her down and practically pointed out that it is just haldi and there is nothing bad or good luck about it. just a cooking spice that adds to our life. that was the moment where their pairing made sense to me as two individuals.

yes, there are lot of societal differences between the two but they are both very gentle souls and take things to heart. someone stern and strong would dwarf Arpita where she may struggle to be heard. someone weak may not be able to handle her pain. instead, here was Sundar who got where she was coming from, didn't mock or dismiss her for her worry or hurt or pain. he gently lowered her panic, keeping a steady handle on the situation and at the same time, didn't make her feel stupid or small. this was the scene that showed me he is in some ways a good match for her emotionally.

Sundar is not an aggressive personality; when Aditya almost slapped/punched him, he just shook it off and instead asked the wedding festivities to continue even though he was very much hurt. In that way, he is just like Arpita who puts the comfort of others and tries to hide their own pain. so very similar personalities.

now, even in earlier episodes, there were scenes where Sundar voiced his incompatibility to the Ttripathy siblings but they just dismissed his concerns. I am on the opposite side where I appreciate the writers are facing the differences head on and not burying their head in the sand.

in the old 90s movies, such class differences were always brushed aside under the rug of love as if that would make all the difference in conquering the world. (eye roll) however, the reality is that financial differences and financial spending is a leading cause of divorce all over the world. people often don't realize the role money plays because it is tied in to other emotions and spills out differently when it comes to conflicts. however, it does matter because money and differences in spending and attitudes does cause conflicts.

also like you said, how can two people who have also differences in education and class actually communicate or talk to each other? in the real world or drama world, couples who cannot communicate do fall apart. the question is what simliarities do we need that helps us to communicate better and what differences adds value to our life and relationships.

so I like that Sundar is aware of the differences and not a fool thinking love is some magic potion. he is aware that he is not a good match for her and he hesitates, he is afraid -- that makes this love story more interesting for me because I am curious to see if the writers tackle these differences in a meaningful way. how do two people who are so far apart successfully form a relationship which isn't based on hormonal lust and a couple of songs? I think if it is done well, it can be a very emotional love story arc. lets see.

I am glad that someone else thinks so too. Apart from the fact that the two actors are real life couple and gave good chemistry on screen too. There is nothing else going for this ship. Yes, whenever arpita is in trouble we see sundar tapkofy there magically. Maybe makers are giving us a beta version of aryan having sixth sense of how imlie is in trouble in t house but we are missing it.

If they show some development if how arpita helps sundar grow like in one scene she was teaching him. Some way in which sundar helps arpita out as well. Something that will make it not random like it seems now.

About the precap: i also think this is imlie discussing arpita’s future and maybe getting remarried. Though Aryan seems more interested in knowing about how he can be mr perfect jeevansathi for jungli. 😆

Regarding Arpita and Sundar, I believe that just like how they made Aryan - the business man compatible with Imlie - the village girl who hasn't even completed her studies, same way the team will make this duo too compatible. They might have already planned scenes for it; but since they had to focus more on winding up the special character, they may have had to postpone concentrating on them. Probably, that's why I am ready to give them some time.😊

The song is from the movie 'Shiddat'. But honestly it looks more like it's tailor made for AryLie. It's their song & nobody can convince me otherwise😳

I agree with some of what you both are saying, Mango ji and Grace👍🏼 I am not striking down the possibility of Sundar-Arpita being a couple, but what I am saying is that this couple has nothing going at this time.

Don't judge me as a xxxxxx ( fill in your own blanks )or may be judge me😔 But, for me, love doesn't exist in vaccum. It is not an "organic emotion Ewwww....." as the show portrayed the trash patrakaar guy's duplicity and a young girl's infatuation with the concept of marriage💔. It is something built painstakingly on a foundation of a lot of things, friendship, responsibility, respect, accountability, security, comfort, communication,. freedom and other things, either all of them or some of them at least. Make no mistake, I am no love guru, it never did happen to me on a whim If it did to some of you, then please accept my congratulations! 😃

This is why, with Aryan, Imlie, the class, societal or literacy difference doesn't even factor in🤔. The communication between them is apt if not on overdrive. They pretty much check all boxes I mentioned above. They have a lot to talk about, how they teach each other things the other doesn't look at or know, the way they can speak about everything and anything under the sun and make it interesting not only for the pair but to all of us.😃 They can speak about the most difficult part of their lives to each other, they are there to problem-solve and brainstorm, like any normal well matched couple does. Look how simply she told him that patrakaar is a long closed kissa for her, and how he accepted that with no hesitation❤️. There is absolutely none of this that comes between them. And I am so glad that the writers have been sensible enough not to show any self pity on the part of Imlie, that she was a "once married" girl, rather this deep appreciation from Aryan on how she overcame that adversity. 👍🏼If there is anything that comes between them is each other's strong opinions at times, which usually they overcome by understanding and patience and just being there❤️ They tell each other what they admire each other for❤️ A complete package. To me, I don't see any question of incompatibility.

But between Sundar-Arpita, other than Sundar enamored by Arpita's kindness, I don't see anything. Of course, I don't expect all couples to be a power-couple. There are more silently understanding people, who don't make a lot of noise like our guy-girl do and they are beautiful in their own way.😃 So far, what I saw is Sundar's one sided admiration of Arpita and the useless T family siblings shipping them😡 Rupi asking if Sundar is OK with Arpita's past had got me hopping mad😡 What the heck was even that? I am glad that the above scene with haldi happened, I must not have watched at that time. But yesterday, he irritated the heck out of me, his tears at being blamed and self pity of being a naukar and therefore not pursuing her👎🏼 That brother could have easily taken that guy's head off.🤢 Again, I do not condone physical violence, but that was soo random thing to say. Yes, he was a good friend to Imlie, he was a loyal employee for the T clan, but are these good enough qualities for a life partner? There is nothing common, what I mean is their nazariyaa about looking at any issue on hand and that is a problem😲 How long is he going to console Arpita about her past, and how long is she going to help him deal with his inferiority complex? At some point, we would like her to move past her past. From what I gather, Arvind seems like a robust, lovable, dependable and a sensible character much like a softer version of ASR. Moreover a friend to Arpita with whom she could confide in anything. So, from there how does Sundar factor in?

Sorry girls, I may be jumping the gun here. If they do give us some sensible scenes to help me think otherwise, I might be able to enjoy. But, yesterday, a half of the episode with Sundar's sad, pitiful face while Imlie doing her praises and both Arpita and Aryan's what the heck is going on here faces, annoyed me😒
