Shiddat Revisit

I wasn't part of the forum when shiddat dance sequence aired. I missed out on most of the discussions then. But when I watch the sequence now. I feel the trance part of the dance where they both are dancing unmasked is Imlie's inner turmoil rather than Aryan's imagination. I say this because Imlie has a stoic face through out the contemporary part trying to evade Aryan but ending up entwined with him. And while Aryan snaps out of the trance as soon as her first tear hits his hand, it takes Imlie much longer to snap to reality. Aryan let's go of the hand first while Imlie walks away first. Also, the last lines about her love being her prison and punishment seems to fit Imlie's turmoil between Aditya and Aryan. She is conflicted by her attraction to Aryan, I guess.

How did u guys interpret that sequence and dream dance?
