that's what I say always ' love is part of the life, NOT life'.

Life can exist without love (love of the partner/spouse), love cant exist without life !

* so I had read so many lovely reactions to yesterday's episode and I was looking forward to seeing it this morning. But I ended up having such a muted reaction when I watched it; I liked it but I didn't love it. This wasn't an episode that really got me fangirling like with Holi or even his spiel in the previous episode.

What didn't work for me: 😅

-- They needed to stretch the convo in the room to the whole episode and it should have ended with Aryan stumbling his way out of the room while looking at each other across the room -- so close and yet so far. That would have packed a punch

-- There wasn't enough questions being asked. I had to laugh when baby doll says that she didn't learn the hashtag values that blue aunty had taught her. The girl has no brains -- how is no one questioning if this girl could actually come up with something so absurd like a bride swap?

-- Imlie's brain has been switched off. For someone who keeps wanting to exit the wedding, all she needed to say was that she was traumatized by being stuck on top of the mandap roof and maybe needs a breather. That would have put a pause on the celebrations. 🤷‍♀️

-- For someone who wants to protect Narmada and Arpita, why didn't Imlie open her mouth and say aunty blue had a hand in what happened? 🤦

What I liked:😘

-- There was some overflow of music with much of the episode. What I found interesting is that the episode started with the tune I associate most with Aryan-Imlie -- the sad BGM. The strings as they play out tell of a song that is a bit melancholic. It is not sad enough for someone to weep but something where someone is going about their daily life but when they get time to look out of the window, for a moment, they allow themselves to feel the burden of their spirit, of weariness. Gah, I love this tune.

-- Anyway back to the choice of music, I found it interesting because I was expecting the episode to start with dramatic intense type music. Instead the choice of creatives made you feel that this was a tragedy that is occuring. This isn't just worry but rather Imlie's sense of pang at what is going on. While it was expected that she begin with worrying for Narmada and Arpita, she finally is able to acknowledge her worry for him as well "Aryan helped me during bad times, I can't let this happen to him."

-- Two hearts beating in two separate places; While her ending up on the top of the mandap had us all cracking up, liked how the creatives used it create shots like this -- to show they are both in the same space and yet so far out. If there was a pic that captured their relationship status at the moment, this would be it!

-- I wanted more out of the conversation in the room. While he starts out with admitting that he has even counted the hours they didn't talk, there is hardly reaction from her. Again, so close and yet so far are these two.

-- When he is reaching out to her, found it interesting that he puts himself in a position where he is below her looking up while she is sitting. Whether she realizes it or not, she has this man in the palm of her hands. She has no idea how powerful she really is.

-- However, even as he tries to tell her how much hold she has over him, he ultimately stops himself to protect himself. Was he right that the time wasn't right? Till that point, she held his hand but when he wouldn't tell her, she withdraws from him physically and emotionally yet again.

Found it interesting how he framed it -- "I can win over everyone. But I lose by mom's smile, sister's scolding and your - "

For both Aryan and Imlie, they start off with Narmada and Arpita before they come to the other. It is like they think themselves of the family first before their own personal self. So very alike in that way.

With Aryan, he admits that his mother's smile has the power to undo him. While he is not someone who will self-sacrifice himself to gain her happiness, her joy has the power to make him smile. Her random English phases, her willingness to dance and sing -- she brings him joy and her happiness also matters to him because he knows how fragile it really is. Arpita is the voice of reason and logic in his life. She has no problem putting him in place as well as asking the tough questions. She holds him accountable and does not give excuses.

So how does Imlie make him lose? The answer should be tears right? For him, there is something magical about her tears in that it makes him empathize and sympathize. Rather than retreat behind a cold wall of indifference, she forces him to confront his emotions without realizing it. It is interesting that this is a relationship where it is tears that tie each other.

So in some ways, we have a triangle that can undo him -- joy, accountability, and tears. It does seem complete picture then with Imlie no?

it’s her silence. It always has been. From the day in the car where her silence disturbed him so much he couldn’t concentrate to today where he counted the hours since they last talked. The reason why he can handle her hatred is because she’s still with him, talking to him, fighting with him. She reminds him of a purpose beyond Arvind’s death. That purpose being Imlie’s rise to the top of her field. Her silence reminds him of her distance, her helplessness, her defeat and that he can’t stand. Even during the pheras, it was her silence that he first thought of.

Her tears have a magic over him but they’re also related to that silence of hers. They always occur when she’s silent and giving in.

Definitely her silence. Her silence is tantamount to her defeat, and her defeat is equivalent to his defeat. 🙃

Like you said, he should be moved in a positive manner and not turn into a mindless robot -- we already have one impetous person with no brain. The other person should be a bit sane!

Thank you for tag ✌️

Mother smile

Sister care

Wife tears

From day one both are connected with pain and her tears always affected him no matter what. Even during lattern scene, he wished she never cry and always stay happy. Her tears make him weak.

To me, it's her silence that makes him weak and go crazy. He reads it, as if she goes silent when she feels defeated. He can't see Imlie like that. Remember the 2 instances where he gets enraged when she doesn't look at her eyes & has her head bowed down before requesting him to accompany her to T house and later when she begs him with holder hands to let go off his revenge.....He can't see a defeated Imlie, probably because it reminds him of the defeated Aru who couldn't save his jiju. 😭
