"37 hours Imlie [since they last talked." He was counting hayeeee. Tumhari kamooshi usse bardasdt nahi hui Imlie. Your loathing pierces him, but he can handle it cause he knows that the Imlie spirit is fighting. But your silence, it kills him.
"Tumhari haar mein meri jeet kabhi nahi ho sakti" dialogue has my heart. Reminds me of Jai-Veeru from Sholay which, IMO, makes me like it more. Because Jai-Veeru was the epitome of friendship in India. True, selfless partnership. And, at the core of it, the partnership is what makes Aryan&Imlie, Aryan&Imlie.
Then, Aryan burned his hands to get Imlie's gifts back and Imlie rushed to his side. It was such an automatic reaction from him. He did it faster than Imlie thought to do it which shows how important it is for him.
Imlie, that level of concern cannot be faked. He was trembling a little when he tried to console you (and shouted for someone to get water). And your feelings haven't died out either. The way you kept trying to see his burns and make sure he's okay, despite Badi Maa's interference. Imlie, your eyes were reddened with worry.
You know Imlie melts in his embrace, right? Sometimes she tries to fight back but her attempts are half-hearted and she gives in the moment they have an eye lock. There's just something about his presence that she lets him carry her in his arms with ease. Everyone else trailed behind the two, with a huge gap, symbolizing that Aryan&Imlie were so far away, in their own distant world. Everyone else was merely an observer.
The female jaaniya represents Imlie's shock at Aru. She didn't think he'd catch her. She's in awe that he did.
"Kya tum hume kuch baata ho?" She's a dog with a bone Aryan. She's not going to let you in until you let her in and that's her right. When he said "udhar rahi", she instantly took her hand back. Tumhari kamooshi, tumhari udhar, tumhari pauses; sab usse pagal kar rahe hai. She's perplexed, she's frustrated, but most importantly, she's hurt by someone who she thought wouldn't hurt her, again.
"Humare ka?" The way her voice trembled when she spoke these lines. She wants to hear what he has to say so badly but you can tell she's a little afraid of what he has to say. Which is perfect cause he's afraid of saying it too. I don't think she's ready to feel that way about someone again. I think there's so much healing left, on both their ends.
When he said "udhar rahi", she instantly took her hand back because he closed himself up again. But even then, their eyes never left each others. People rushed into the room, checking up on Imlie but her eyes only sought out one person.
And the background music oof I love that song and it's apt for the situation. It starts playing as they pull themselves back from Aryan&Imlie, neither content with the distant but unable to fill the gaps their sorrow has left. It's like the song was made for them and this misunderstanding track.
Them saying in unison "dekhiye, aap humari amma ki bezaati nahi kar sakte". Imlie, that's what Satyakam meant when he said Aryan welcomed your family like his own. Jaise tum Narmada aur Arpita ko apne maanti ho, waise hi, ek mulakaat mein Aryan tumhare Dadda and Amma ko apnaliya.
Narmada, you are a kind soul. The way she caressed Imlie's blood-spattered hands. Her eyes torn and apologetic. It wasn't even her fault but you can see how much it hurts her to see Imlie in that state. When Aryan said Imlie needs rest and took her to another room, you could tell Narmada was distraught at the separation. She didn't want to let Imlie out of her sight.
Go Meeti! I love how she told Aryan and Imlie to back down so she could fight her own battle! Yass Queen.
