I will fully admit that I am so frustrated with Imlie's character and Aryan's choices that I can't think straight.

I am biased, I will even admit to that. I think Aryan Singh Rathore is an effing demi-god who is a better man than he believes he is. His entire push for this marriage is because he wants Imlie to be the best version of herself.

Its always been about what he can do for her.

With the Tripathis, its always what she can do for them.

For this reason, and only this, I'm a total baraati at this wedding.

I would have much preferred Imlie being shown with a shred of intelligence in her, but I will chalk it up to trauma and immaturity. I have a big heart. Like Aryan. And no brains. Like Imlie. Perfect combo. I'm basically their love child at this point.

I don't think this is out of character for him. From the moment he lost control in hospital, he is desperate. Which is alright because just like moon has phases, people have phases too. There is no such thing as permanence. People say "phase" like impermanence means insignificance. Show me a permanent state of the self.

I might be the only one who thinks it's not out of character or character butchering at all. He was forceful from the start with imlie whenever he thought he is protecting her. And why I don't reprimand him for doing so? Because imlie never asked him 'who are you to tell me what to do?' whenever he said don't meet your pathetic Ex, imlie never replied stay in your limits!

Instead she always thought 'now what will I do, he's not allowing me. How will I meet BS (the party drunk incident). She never thought who is he to allow me?

I don't mind whatever he is doing. Because personally for me, the damage his 'arm twisting' is doing or might do( which we are yet to see), is nothing compared to self destructive spree imlie is on. Right of agency is a fact no one can deny, but do you think about the right of agency when you see a person standing on the bridge ready to jump? No you don't! For Aryan, imlie is in this condition. That's how his mind is working right now. Save imlie. What right he has? Ask imlie.
