The original topic was something else, we were talking about the age gap in casting and not just the age gap for the sake of it, but because how it disturbs the power dynamics. But as usual, people read what they want to read. And they will base our whole discourse on to them. I wouldn't even start to argue why I think Aryan is better for Imlie than jeeja-ji. There is no comparison at all. It is evident in the fandom it has attracted just in a span of short 3-4 months, in the mostly stable TRPs even after the lead existed in an established show and that's just the objective part. Otherwise, it also shows in where Imlie was when she was with the previous ML, in his house - in terms of the position she held that is a househelp and where she is today, in her profession and the position she holds in the house she has inhabited in the past previous months, as a respectable tenant. Imlie had potential then, Imlie has potential now. It's about who recognized and tapped in her potential, who empowered who do more and be more. It's about who has always tried to give her wings and not cage her. If deleting a message is making the other person a villain while deleting a whole video which is illegal, while it was to be used as an evidence in court is making another person a "flawed" hero, then I can't help but call out on the double standards and hypocrisy.
Also, I think you got the respect part completely wrong, respecting a person is definitely committing bigamy. It is accusing one's spouse of infidelity while accepting his baby with his ex-wife and believing his ex-wife's word over his current spouse. It is marrying the half sister of his recently divorced spouse and getting his ego hurt when his recently divorced wife did better and then printing it in the newspaper. It is allowing his family to disrespect his spouse. That's called respect. 😆 Not recognizing a talent and promoting her from intern to freelancer. And humara wala toh already calls himself a villain, not even pretending to be someone else. Unlike a self righteous patrakaar so what's the point to make other people understand objectively, I say leave it be. But of course, this for all of us and we all our free to discuss our own opinions so by all means, let's try to analyze things more between ourselves.
