Blue, thanks for tagging! I am so behind in catching up with all the beautiful works that this forum churns out on a daily basis.
Coming to this piece, it was vividly beautiful! Imlie's thoughts about her own family, her ex and the Rathores were so on point – it's like a smooth realization in a moment that could well be her final one, of the Imlie that she has been, but then comes the knowledge of how it would affect ABP and how she'd fight till the end for him drawing strength from his own memories. Such feels!
It was only when he cradled her head in his hand that she knew, for the first time in forever, that Imlie, who had never truly had a father and never truly been anyone's wife, had him.
Was his. And she did not know what to do with that.
This was especially my fav – from one who never had anything to someone who was overwhelmed because she suddenly had so much more!
This is beautiful. Poor thing, had to go through so much and may be even more before she realizes what Aryan and his family mean to her.
this was gorgeous!!! i loved the insight you have on imlie's cocktail of chaos. what a beautiful os!
You have such an impeccable taste in music/poetry and this beautiful one here just attests it.
With those innumerous nuances that are so vividly described, this is one of the best I've read today. Totally caters to the reader's emotions. I also see your keen perspective on colors and patterns splendidly described and it just elevates the entire mood of the story.
I love how you've brought out Imlie's emotions. In the utmost moments of despair, there are umpteen things that go on in our brain, too many things we wish we had done, too many things we could do, many that we wish we didn't, too many memories and conversations of happiness and regret. I love how you captured these for Imlie.
For me, the best part of it all is when Imlie recognises Aryan and that profound relief she has. It's pure ❤️. When a woman expresses such relief and finds safety in a man, that describes the true character of that man. The thing that had me completely enthralled more than the hug is this trust and hope that she associates with Aryan. As women, we mostly equate safety and trust with the defined relationships with men we have in life - father, brother, husband, friend, partner and very rarely do we allow ourselves to completely let go and find solace or comfort in another male. So for Imlie to be able to feel this with a man who has no such defined existence in her life, it just cements how much she has come to value Aryan and how deeply has Aryan carved a place for himself in her life.
Thank you again for penning this wonderful one! 🤗

Imaliya was giving me the same pheelz in her thank-you-speech today.

When she's willing to see through the toxicity of certain vestigial relationships in the show, her other realisations will take over her conscious mind, it will be so wonderful to watch.
Like libru was saying in the other thread, she needs to hear how they speak behind her back.
