And you my dear are absolutely right, watching her fall is painful. I mean, the whole time I was watching I felt anxiety for her and that is stupid, because she is just a character. But then I thought wow, that is exactly what they want to show. Imlie being stupid before she is smart, because without it how would she even seem more smart.

We always feel awe when a stupid person is actually smart.

And I don't think the makers put that much thought into delegation of work, because her running out of the office was supposed to look dramatic.

But it ended up being disappointing.

And last but not the least, whenever I see her falling down, I am reminded of this...

Hey, nice post. I can only speak for myself. See, I don't want her to get over anyone. Emotionally you can't and it won't happen. But there have to be baby steps in a direction that I don't see happening. Not even baby steps. In real life, we consistently evolve and grow out of situations, people, relationships but that happens at least. We don't see anything happening in that direction. Imlie doesn't take any steps. She continuously gets caught up in her emotional vortex.

Regarding Aryan and Imlie, I don't see any love, neither we want it that quick. But, we see trust and faith-building, respect building. If Imlie can't do anything much, she can at least try to respect the trust and faith, instead of flouting it each time. Aryan doesn't expect, but Imlie needs to have that much sense. She feels so obligated towards Tripathis for nothing, but she has no sense of duty for the people who gave her a roof, food, and work? That is bothering me. As far as feelings are concerned, Aryan will never believe Imlie can love him seeing her affinity for these people. No one can. Even Arpita has sensed that. And you are right, she has disappointed him so many times, that it will be hard for him to accept that she loves him and would choose him. As much as it will be hard for him, it will break her heart, but then she has to understand her actions which have led him to not accept her love. Her feelings and her words lack integrity.

Let's not bring age as a factor. At 19, we all did not do stuff that is shown on ITV. It doesn't make sense whatsoever. At 19, on ITV, girls are becoming wives, mothers, fighting villains, romancing, and are least bothered about their life, studies, or marriage. At 19, I was busy selecting which coffee shop to hang out with my friends, and struggling with my second year in college. Had nothing else on my mind.

Imlie doesn't need to move out of anything and she has a right to the pace of how she wants to change. But the least she can do is respect what she has and not play with something she always dreamt of having.

Imlie track record: 1 episode praiseworthy--> then the other 4 episodes are me wanting to throw all dem chappals at her. Watching her today, I felt like taking her head and banging against a wall really hard 😡.

I absolutely agree with you. Except the point with baby steps, because it's a constant one step forward and two steps back for Imlie. Yesterday, facing Aditya was one step forward and today today, two steps back.

And Aryan and Imlie, they are slow burn baby, and strangely they remind me of Captain Swan(Once Upon A Time), in the way that it was constant support and separation. But when they were together, it was for the long haul. Trust and faith would be slow build. Aryan is disappointed by Imlie, but he has faith in her capabilities, it's just that she doesn't have faith in her own capabilities. Imlie has walls around her heart, we saw her awe in Aryan, she saw how Aryan fought for her, for her, and that faith is building, it's just the Tripathi's has become an ideal family for her, and god save someone hurt them. The rose colored glasses will come off. Imlie will see the fault in them, their expectations and that my dear, will be when the magic happens.

We fought demons at 19 too, coffee shop hangouts aside, girls get body shamed, bullied and are considered inferior to men, and let's not forget the misogynist teachers, and trying to complete group assignments in which no would get along. They should show that in ITV.

But I know a woman who is 31, who has a daughter who is 12, and who is divorced. So, in some places, stuff happens to woman when they are 19, the stuff that they show in ITV. While it is not that extreme, it is a battle in itself.
