That def makes sense! He isn't ready to lose another friend and wishes he could have been there entirely for Arvind and bc he couldnt, his going all out for Imlie in a way is like fulfilling that reason/want/need to be there for someone and go all out for them. Esp bc even though Imlie is so different from him, in a way he sort of reminds her of himself. He used to be the type of person who was always happy and smiling and bringing laughter to other people (so his mom says). And now bc of what he has been through, he sort of also wants to shield Imlie from being hurt from the same person he was hurt from so the world and Adi doesn't change her for the worse. Is there anyone out there thinking that maybe the reason Aryan does not accept Imlie as a friend is because he is not ready to lose one again.
Like, for all intents and purposes, Arvind, Arpita's husband, was a dear friend who he lost because he was not able to reach him on time to save him from Aditya.
So he shut himself off from people so he wouldn't ever again have to lose anyone else.
And here comes Imlie, who he likes as he knows more about her, and wow, she is like a breath of fresh air and he sees her as someone who could really become his friend.
But also, she is so affected by the one person because of whom he lost one of his best friends and just, he isn't ready to go through that again.
So he shuts off any thoughts of friendship, from Imlie, but from himself too.
Because while he can justify that he wants to protect Imlie as she is someone who inspires him, he could never justify losing her because of Aditya.
And all that care, protection, support comes from a place that he knows about but just doesn't want to name because he is scared of losing it.

I dont think so if Aparna wants to pressure Adi but Imlie will not agree.. She will not let the divorce of Malini and Adi done because she tied the ghatbandan when it became lose... So I dont think Imlie will agree...So when i watched last night I skipped the Ts. Just went back to catch what they were saying anyway. So now aparna wants adi to know Malini abandoned him... Will that change anything? Lol.. Now maybe she will pressurize him to divorce malini and marry imlie?
Back to this scene. What does the rise in blood pressure have to do with the jaw punch??? Is there a special spot on, around, underneath the jaw that is especially bad if your pressure is high?
