Reason Imlie takes out all her bharas on Aryan

1. She knows he's the only one who cares enough to take it

2. They are kindred spirits with shared pain

3. She's comfortable and doesn't really care what he thinks

4. She knows he takes her as she is and that acceptance empowers her to be too Imlie

5. She knows he's vulnerable and unlikely to lash out at her like Aditya, Malini, etc do

He's always treated her as an equal an independent person - an "adult" if you will from day 1

So she feels comfortable to show all her sides in front of him w/o fear of judgement/rejection even dismissal.

It's also an anxiety response. It's such a dangerous and traumatising situation; she needs to blame someone or her brain will burst.

Secondly, she needs to distance herself from Aru because she's falling for him and that's a no-no for her sacrificial lamb self-image.

Lastly, he treats her as an adult. He would value her outburst instead of writing it off as hysteria.

I agree with all of your point. Esp the first and second.

We break out on people that we know will listen instead of insulting us. Yes Aryan shows the mirror to Imlie very often and not in a very placating manner either, but she needs it.

He never insulted her, not once. Even while all through the scoldings, he maintained enough sense to not hurt her dignity..

Though I wish she bursts less on him..try to understand what he wants to convey
