Awww, how cute and creepy.

Extremely creepy imo 🤣🤣🤣

I think he's kept it somewhere safe... He'll return that to her when he has her in his life!

So perfectly put. I have watched Imlie on and off since the start. I could never fully immerse even though I was liking the leads. The whole forced marriage of an older man to a teenager at gunpoint just never sat well with me then add bigamy to the mix and it was a little much for me to handle. I always saw it as two people falling in love because they went through an extreme situation and that young woman sticking around due to trauma bonding. It always felt as if because they were now bonded in matrimony, they, especially Imlie felt obligated to fall in love (yes happens in a lot of shows but the circumstances here were even more regressive). In these cultures (Asian), people tended to marry women off at a young age because they could be molded the way the in-laws/husband wanted. That young women are more likely to adopt the in-laws ways and adapt to their lifestyles than those who are older say above 25. I was able to get over it slightly when Malini stepped aside, BS and Imlie had their action packed reunion of sorts, and KC entered the picture but things only got worse. What surprised me is how the audience, like you said, kept a finite perspective about the relationships in this show rather than seeing the grander picture. This show is called Imlie so it will revolve around the titular character. It's more her journey than anyone else's.

This is an 18-19 year old who has her entire life ahead of her. BS isn't her end all be all. What I can respect about the first (Hindi) version is that Aditya ended up with Malini and Imlie went off to study - making her own way. It's commendable they did that. When Imlie was announced, Gul stated that it would be more realistic than the other versions. I waited 300 episodes for that to happen but I only started seeing that vision when Aryan entered and Imlie walked away from the humiliation/degredation. So many people come and go in our lives and some stay especially in our youth. I saw Aditya as a phase in her life, one Imlie had to go through to continue on her journey to realize herself.

I get it, many times we watch movies and shows because we want to watch epic romances and fantastical things because it takes us away from the mundane and the stresses of our lives but we also have an innate need to connect and relate to our surroundings. There are people watching this show who have been divorced or just had a breakup maybe their first breakup or are widowed/widowers or maybe they are simply trying to rise above their circumstances. These people can relate. Watching a new man come into Imlie's life or watching her be able to pursue a career/education gives them renewed hope for themselves.

This is why I love watching shows with 2nd/new lead romances, be it due to a breakup, divorce or death. Shows people they don't need to accept their situation. Life has so much more to offer just open up your mind.

Very well said 👏esp. @bold.

TBH many people even me sometimes depend on a source of hope from TV shows. There have been times when I have been down emotionally and mentally and have received encouragement from a scene or statement said in a show.

Therefore, it is important for ITV dramas to portray realistic problems and issues that we all face on a daily basis through their shows so that people like me can find maybe that encouragement.

There is a certain show on Star plus currently topping in the TRPs that has been doing that consistently for a while now and I will applaud their efforts to bring those issues to general public. What I now hope is for this show to do the same by shining light on other aspects as you have mentioned.

Okay guys, so I came across this song due to a post on twit and I thought this song suits perfectly for ASR (since AKT is the raavan of Imlie's life per meethi's statement)

Woah! You penned down your thoughts so well! They in fact resonate with my feelings a lot.

I never watched the show before ASR's entry but was always aware of the track. Anyways I am going to pin down one particular point and elaborate on that.

'Imlie walked away from the humiliation/degredation' and of course this has happened in many more shows as well but since we are talking about Imlie... lets see.

Why did she even stick around for that long? Wasn't it enough probably 7 months back? When the man yelled at you, degraded you, blamed you for every wrong doing in his life when you are nothing but the reason he is alive today?

Why the expectation from women like Imlie to stick around despite the things she was put through day in and day out? Why did she not put her foot down months back and now when she has why is she still spinning like a top singing praises for BS... why???

Yes pyaar ek din mein khatam nahi hota, yes feelings are not a switch but you still defend that mans every move! If we see it Imlie has given BS as many free passes as Malini has.

'woh ek ache insaan hai' was actually the joke of the century. Kaha se ache insaan? kaye ke ache insaan?

Apni long term partner ko dhoka dena, ek 18 year old ladki ko mentally torture karna, national newspaper mein apni galatfehmi ke chalte usse shame karna, calling the woman you claim to love a gold digger. Kisi ke crime ke saboot mitaana. Bro the list does not end!

So she might have 'walked' away and yet has not left it behind

After seeing Aryan Singh Rathore , still reading the long interview I believe a well defined character is more important . Such a long question about the character and it's secretive aspect since intentions r not clear and even what kind of role.so it does not really matter whether it is lead role or not. I remember hearing that SBB interview where in Fahmaan was asked whether he will help the ex couple unite so things r far ahead right now and too confusing but revenge aspect remains infact very intense. So it is actually chemistry between Aryan Aditya and Aryan Imlie that is imp and how far it goes. So interesting rather than worrying what is exactly Fahmaan playing. His last was a lead role which went too boring in last stages for me so character arc is more imp

The best part of the interview for me is where Fahmaan says, " Initially I was lost for about some 10 days thinking what the hell is happening!" And also when he points out that in Indian Television nobody knows what the plot or character is, it's going to change everyday as per needs. Lol and here we are ! 🤪

Bhai itna damage hua hain ki ASR ka % interest down ho gaya bolo.

SO my expectations from the next few episodes are as follows:

1) Imlie apna BS jaap finally chod de 👏👏👏 and finally move on kare, taaki hume bhi yaha thodi shanti mile

2) Imlie realizing BS is not worth her concern, affection, love, trust and admiration (pata nahi yeh kab hoga 🤔)

3) Imlie realizing her mistake about only caring for BS and not her own mother

4) Imlie realizing her mistake about insulting her boss, calling him names and disrespecting him and his job

5) Imlie apologizing to ASR for everything she did and the way she acted (seriously want this happen)

So let's see if they will ever show us progressive tracks like Imlie apologizing for her actions and not staying mum even after everything ASR has done for her.

Apology!!!!🤣

Khud ko apology dene me usne 1 saal laga diye. Aur uss apology ke baad bhi uske uss apology me koi integrity nahi hai. Abhi bhi uske concern aur care me koi kami nahi aayi. Aditya uske samne galeech baatein and shart rakhta hai, all she can do is cry.

I mean it seems Aditya seems to derive some kick from seeing her cry, even if it is to maintain her self respect. Yet, I can still give her a few brownie points for the Badewale Idiot and defending Aryan's presence in her life.

All I can say, that jo equation AdiLie ka step by step build hua hai, ye log waise hi todenge. Same goes for building AryLie equation.

There is something else I want of Imlie basically. To stop blaming only Malini for everything. Malini is loony, but the relationship of AdiLie broke because Aditya chose to believe what he wanted to and did not listen to Imlie's pleas. She had tried explaining that AryLie had nothing, but Aditya did not want to listen.

Aditya thinks that Imlie is insecure of Malini, which has never been the case. Imlie knows Malini has been wrong. Imlie should also accept that Aditya is equally wrong. He allowed Malini to play dirty. Aditya on the other hand is truly insecure of Aryan. Jo jaisa hota hai woh dusre ko waise hi perceive karta hai. He just can't handle that Imlie can have a wider circle. Actually Tripathis too cannot. All of a sudden after her departure, they want to make investments. To 1 saal se jhak maar rahe the kya.

Imlie ko essentially ye realise karna zaruri hai ki Aditya galat hai. As a person, as a husband, as a journalist, he is wrong. And she has been wrong about him because of her perceived idealism of this man. And it is okay. He is but a human.

It really can be any element in a show that one can derive hope from. Even if a show isn't realistic, it needs to have elements that are relatable to the human condition. Most humans look for connections in some capacity throughout their lives and this extends to the realm of television/cinema. We want to watch fantasy because it takes us away from our regular lives but we don't want it to stray so far that we can't derive any sense of familiarity and similarity or hope from it.

I did not watch that show until the 2nd lead entry and I was pleasantly surprised at how well balanced it really was. I finally understood why it was getting those ratings. Imlie should look to the top shows and design it's future in a similar fashion and hopefully not like the other show that rose suddenly and fell even more suddenly.

@bold : totally agree with this!

I find Imlie's constant admiration, trust and sad to say love for BS so hard to digest.. I mean would you really want to keep going back to a man that has on countless occasions done horrible horrible things that have literally broken your trust, shattered your respect, and made fun of your love?
