She was one of the major reasons that made AdiLie controversial and debatable. It feels as if by making her horrible - AdiLie became more justifiable and support-worthy.

I am so with you there. That was always my bone of contention with AdiLie and the reason why I could never fully immerse in this show. The Malini factor was always hanging over that pairing. 7 years in a relationship and then legally wedded husband-wife. Aditya did both Imlie and Malini dirty. I was able to accept them when Malini graciously stepped back but still felt it was unfair. Aditya could never speak up. He led two women on. I love imperfect characters but his mistakes were too many and I just couldn't overlook them. I am the type of person that prefers to rip the bandage off so Aditya frustrated me with his hesitancy. Like go back home, tell your fiancé the truth, get your marriage to Imlie annulled, give her room and board, get her set up to get an education, get married to Malini. In that course, it's likely things may not have worked out with Malini so they could have divorced and him and Imlie could have grown close organically. This man was spineless. He had potential to grow as a person since he showed those positive signs throughout the show but instead we get this - a man spewing unnecessary vitriol for his 19-year old ex.
