The Tripathis are so conviently progressive just like their son. I don't care about the sourpuss that is Rupi's mum and her suspicions regarding Arylie. And even Aparna was correct to say that Imlie still only loves Aditya. But why was she pretending that it'd horribly immoral if she does fall in love with someone else and hence, won't do it ever? Because Sita Maiya and Mithi's blessings are with her?

What khap panchayati logic is that? She's literally a single woman now. In fact, she has been legally unmarried all this while because a marriage at gunpoint isn't valid according to the Indian Constitution. In pretending to unconditionally trust Imlie regarding Arylie, they are again putting restrictions on her to favour their son's needs. Btw, I think it's very stupid or extremely arrogant on the part of Tripathis to think that Imlie behaves with Aryan completely professionally. While not romantic yet, it's very apparent that she draws strength, trust and camaraderie from Aryan. Things, she doesn't get from Aditya. She, honestly, is lighter on her feet when she's not interacting with their lot.

I, in any case, don't think Aditya needs Imlie. He needs therapy to recover from his own sexual assault and personal toxicity.

I like how they just expect Imlie, their ex-bahu, to be sati savitri to Aditya's double crossing toxic backside. Their son is having a second marriage and first baby with his "friend" after two divorces and they are sitting along the table talking about Imlie's purity. Typical regressive family.

Imlie is not their child, they don't get to morally police her even if she's in a relationship with Aryan. That's Imlie's right as a single woman! Imlie needs to dump this family too. Aryan's family by comparison don't seem to care that she's a divorcee.

very well pointed out. They are placing the same expectations or rather almost the same as Adi placed on her.

Adi expected her to accept malini and all the sh*t that comes with it along with embracing the child, his constant moods wings, toxicity and questions on her character without batting an eyelid. He expected her to keep her self respect aside for him.

Now, the T's are placing 'faith' on her to shackle her. Imlie has every right to pursue romantic interest of she so wishes too. She is a single adult woman who can do what she likes. She does not need to listen to them or 'wait' for Adi or even be his rehabilitation centre.
