Adi was a class act all around and again goes to show what a refreshing lead to watch on tv who’s compelling not for the same ghisa pita larger-than-life persona but his principles and honour....to stand by his word even if it’s in the face of his own complete heartbreak and emotional dependence on Imlie...hum wohi chahte hain Imlie jo tum chahti ho.....but still that painful painful realisation of the finality of it all and the realisation that the one you love thinks of you as a pinjra while all you want is not even to be her pankh but watch her fly.....so somehow he needs to hold it together cuz being a detriment in any way is the final straw.....yet than pain of abandonment and the unravelled Adi which he can only be with Imlie....the pain ki aayi hi kyun agar har baar chodh kar jaana hai so nahi ek baar aur nahi....iss baar hum jaayenge💔

Thanks for the thread NM - finally pushed myself to only see their scene - coz I refuse to put up with the remaining rubbish going on and honestly today GM made me feel proud of standing up to Adi's character as I have been doing all this while.

Adi today went from being excited and hopeful to see his wife and celebrate their first anniversary together, to being shocked at seeing a visual that hurt him but did not make sense to him, then to telling himself that what he saw cannot be true and that he needs to talk to his wife and iron out their differences, to being happy that Imlie sent him a letter, to being shocked at realizing that they were divorce papers, to making a resolve that he will talk to his wife today and give her what she wants - no matter how difficult a pill that is for him to swallow - all this in a span of a few minutes - something that other actors and characters are not able to communicate over multiple episodes.

Then came the ME scene, where again in a span of minutes he went from being hurt, devastated to making a resolve that he will leave, because he knows that her leaving will literally kill him. Why do people want to forget that for a guy who once fainted in the assumption that his wife would leave him for someone else - that is his worst nightmare coming true. Till today they both were treating this phase as a jhagda between a husband and wife - with the divorce papers this fight became a choice - to leave everything behind and free themselves of each other. This was why he said - I will go first, because he knows that he cannot bear the pain of her leaving him. All his words today - why did I meet you, because his life was incomplete but safe without her - meeting her made him realize how incomplete his entire existence was. His words - wont you blame me anymore, was a hope - that she will tell him something that will show that she still feels for him and give him that hope that all is not over yet - but her silence made him feel that she was not ready to give him even that. Him blaming Imlie was his way of telling just how hurt he was to go to this point - last time when he asked her to marry Prakash was because that was when he realized he had fallen for her, today his accusation was his way of saying that ASR had become more important for Imlie, so much so that she wants freedom from their marriage for him - like how he was afraid that Imlie will leave him for Malini, today that was replaced by ASR.

But like he has always said - jo Imlie chahti hai, woh usse milega - that is why he gave her what he thought she wanted, based on everything he had seen, heard and experienced since she left his house. So anyone who wants to bash him for that is welcome - but today he reacted like how a man truly in love with his wife did, and I truly admire his character and the actor for it today.

True actors do not need flashy support to put their emotions and feeling across to the audience - their expressions, voice modulation and their craft always shines through - which is why despite the crap we are being served, we still root for SuMeer & Adilie.

+1 it is beyond hilarious that our actual hero or heroine for that matter too never needed gimmicks to prove their metal.. they focused solely on content and everytime gave a unique performance without all the jazz but kuch logo ka guzara hota hi nahi hainuske bina jab tak poora samay na bandha jaaye and then too they fail 😅

Imlie's constant rejection, misbehaved, ASR's ghar pe rukhna , AKT ke bolne par bhi she dint come.. sharing car , getting favor to be top feature writer (yes she has talent , but 7 days pe intern se sidha feature writer banna is one kind of favor ) , night pe park mein dekhna sab kuch milake man mein uske doubt ayaa ...so usi basis pe he said those wrods..

even imlie also accused her despite knowing malini drugged him . she called him dhonkebaaz, dev 2.0 .

so trust issue dono tarafsei hain, both reacted on basis of situation what they saw
