Just like Anandi from BV1, who thought she could never move on in life, found Shiv. Imlie was the same age as Anandi, and both of them are raised to love the "husband". Anandi ka to aur bhi difficult tha. She was married as a child. Imlie ka waisa nahi hai. She has progressive views as to how a woman should be, but kuch to asar upbringing ka bhi rahega, mahaul ka bhi. And Aditya and Imlie are mostly tied because they have faced dangerous and near-death experiences which brought them together. That brings people closer for sure. But from my POV, Imlie has mostly taken up the protector role here, where she has gone through tremendous pressure to safeguard Aditya. I am not saying Aditya has done less, but agar strength ki baat kare to Imlie ka jyaada hai Aditya se.
Aryan is the opposite. Aryan doesn't need protection, as we already know. He has the intellect to match strength. In fact, he has protected Imlie. Aditya brought Imlie home as a househelp. Aryan kept her as a tenant. Here the respect has been established.
Aditya and the family have definitely pushed Imlie to pursue her education, but have not pushed her enough to improve on herself. Aryan has taken the initiative to teach her. Its like, encouragement sab ne ki hai, inspire bhi kiya hai, lekin push karne ka initiative, strict hoke, woh Aryan ne ki hai. Ab agenda ho ya na ho, Imlie ka bhala hi hua.
I like Rathods more than Cs, as they haven't treated or called Imlie a "servant", they have just gone about treating her as a person - and in both cases, she saved the daughter (Malini/Arpita). With Tripathis, Imlie was never defended nor protected. With Aryan, its like aisa mauka hi kyun aaye ki khud ko defend karna pade ya kisiki sunni pade, strengthen yourself in all ways, that no one can raise their voice or finger on you.
So I am looking forward to their equation evolving. Ab the end me kisko interest hai. Journey to dekh le pehle.
