17:28 Local Time, 13:28 GMT, 18:58 IST: But the news off the field in the last few minutes and hours have picked up pace. There are so many murmurs that this game might not take place at all. Pakistan had lodged a complaint after the India game which is now known as the 'No Handshake Controversy' and wanted the removal of the Match Referee Andy Pycroft for this game. But ICC didn't deem that logical enough and asked Andy to stay on. Pakistan in turn have put everyone on the edge of their seats. Game to happen? Game not to happen? Your guess is as good as mine.

Latest we are hearing: PCB has requested that the match be postponed by an hour pending further talks. Also hearing that Pakistan team has left the hotel and on the way to the stadium. Not sure if Pycroft will still officiate or not

Oh so are there chances that Pycroft might be removed?

A very bad move by ICC then, especially if it's changing their last decision.

Either way let's see

If Pakistan called not shaking hands as unprofessional what exactly is this

Either play or don't play what is this to delay the match with uncertainty. They would have called out of India did this

Shouldn't UAE be given some benefit today

That is not yet clear, but the match is on. That is clear. If they boycott the match, they will lose $16 millions, that made them to take a positive decision!!

I don't think pak have guts to boycott this match or the entire Asia cup.

Paisa bolta hai..The players and their board are very much in need of money now.

And this is so foolish demand to remove that person from the ICC panel.

Only pak can do such kind of weired thing.

players will prepare to play as scheduled. The match is now set to start at 7.30pm local time, with toss at 7pm local time. We still don't know the fate of match referee Andy Pycroft yet. Will he officiate the match or not?
