First they need to under stand for us there is only one lead that is AdiLie😆 And they cannot make Malini to be Sautan in long run. Nor They cannot project her as parallel lead & show her story parallel to AdiLie. They have to make filler tracks for her with AdiLie at front for twist and turns . AdiLie will always lead the show with their love story. Her job is to play victim card😆

They may be doing this for the sake of TRPs, but the makers have certainly lost the pulse of what attracted viewers to the show in the first place somewhere along the way. Nothing she could say or do was strong enough to break them apart. I get that Malini will always be a character to be used to bring in some friction, yes, but this is an extreme and frankly unsettling level of intrusion when the adilie truth is already out and they are supposed to be stronger than ever now.

We can only hope that the makers have some other genuinely good reason to bring this angle in, because they would’ve most likely been able to maintain high TRPs, in fact higher maybe, without it. That’s how loyal fans have proven themselves to be…

I totally agree with all the points you have mentioned above. But I do want to go on another bifurcated opinion. I am simple viewer when it comes to ITV. 10 years ago was a big fan of one of the iconic show that this production house got successful with. You are right the uniqueness, the leads palpable chemistry and the very fact that they had such a complex story to show, attracted me to the show, and here I am again. I think I have mentioned this before too- but this pandemic made things extremely difficult. The very move to HYD was a clear example of how their story telling got affected. From what I have read and been told, literally all shows took a hit, but ours atleast stayed on track. Since then I have been taking it one episode at a time. There were some really brilliant ones and some really 3 mins, forward survived ones. So very recently I watched those HYD episodes once again, in a continuum. and I realized that in our episode to episode rants we actually missed some plots, some really good acting and some poignant moments. I stand by my statement as always that they have used some tracks that they are beyond redemption, like suicide, mental health issues. But they also made it a point to wrap those, controversial ones up at a super fast speed. And you are right when you say that the fandom that we know, was never rooting for this sister bani sautan drama. Cringe galores! But I was never expecting anything like a BBC kinda track either. Hell I was never expecting Aparna to go into such dumps. But here we are!

Adi and Imlie have always had the soul connect and again I nod my head on Malini's involvement here being quite obnoxious. Malini's character has to be the worst ever written...but then I really do not know what I am comparing it against when it comes to ITV. How does Adilie relationship get tested? It cannot have a perfect spiritual connotation all the time. None of earthy associations have that. When the truth was not out, these two were first figuring this out themselves. We saw a bond that was so surreal and we experienced a conviction, that made their entire relationship so sublime and beautiful. But then the truth was out, that brought the change, change means movement in feelings, reactions, emotions, not for them, they had already gone through that metamorphosis, more so for the others who directly or indirectly were related to them. This movement/change leads to friction. We are seeing it in form of Aparna and Malini. Now Malini ka flipping toh pehle se hi tha.....they went on to exaggerate it further. I am just glad they did not bring a completely new angle for this plot point...jo hai usko ko flip kara diya...😆 She was useless back then, she is nonsensical right now. But then how do we see the various facets of trials of their relationship? Doesn't all this actually make Adilie more realistic? And maybe I being optimistic, but this friction is what will make their relationship even more polished and stronger than before. No gain without pain...agreed yaha bas pain hi pain chal raha hai...😆

TRP ka toh pata nahi hai yaar! I have never understood it honestly. There are so many variables. Plus a track/scene is so subjective. Like the AKT's video message scene is being dissected to no extent. And I cannot wrap my mind around that. What was soo wrong in talking to a video camera what he felt?

Do we know what sector of this fandom watches it online vs the TV? With this entire transition of hulu/hotstar usa, delay in episodes coming up in India...how does this affect the TRP now? Festivals in India, how does that lead to the calculations?! From what I read about other shows they have worse cringe worthy tracks that garner high trp's....so maybe makers are trying their hand at that.? A very wrong move because then loyal viewers like us are only left with facepalm and rant...sigh! Hoping they realize how to navigate this ship, now that they have tried rinse, repeat, cliche!

I sometimes wish this show was a limited series. It is quite commendable that they took such a complicated story to work with for ITV...will they, wont they be successful time will tell. Needless to say Gash and ST are a phenomenon of their own. It is because of them, the experience is elevated. But if this was to be a limited series, I feel the story telling would have been more gripping, in line with the nuances and also less influential by social media! Just my two cents..😊

You nailed it on how Adilie are tested by their external relations.. namely the family and the upheaval faced by the very same folks who professed such love and affection for these 2 in their individual capacities.

Having said that, some changes have obviously been made.. and gauged the mood of the viewers.

We are up against a formidable force ---- IPL, festive season... and hoping for the best.
