Sorry just tagging everyone who is part of this discussion , because I loved reading all your perspectives...and thought is will be good to reply and present my views to everyone in one comment..😊
This is what I feel about the way this story is going...no I am not justifying anything here...because just like all of you I am frustrated too..but because I just watch one show,..I do want to see the story reach it's culmination...and yes I keep forward as a rescue when things get obnoxious....😆
1. The birdie app is a pit hole of speculations ranging from one spectrum to another. Not sure how much we should actually rely on the information/theories that they have there...
2. The team really needs to stop giving any BTS at this point. Look at the paradox, fandom is upset and does not want to watch...but at the slightest glimpse of a BTS, it becomes classic case of who, what , where, why, how...and postulations start to build up...and there we all go ranting in various directions...and the makers usually just give a googly!!
3. I think this track, no matter how much our patience will be tested, is going to give way to a bigger situation. This is definitely a build up to bring Adi and Imlie to a breaking point. They are exhausted trying to mollify the family, and now this entire issue of Sahi and galat....there is only so much resilience someone can have. It is indeed a facepalm moment when you see that on a daily basis...what boggles me don't they realize this at all? Or there indeed is a strategy behind all this! This is a daily, they will slow down, gain momentum..pretty much like a sinusodial waveform.and it is great way of taking a break when that valley is reached..if it is not what suits your viewing experience..!! I believe they are trying everything they can to get the TRP. NDE of both the leads, sindoor, vishwas, diya, bike ride, filmy drama, making Imlie and Adi dance...they are expecting that something might work...
I am not an ardent ITV viewer, so I really do not understand what is cliche and what is not! But from what I see when it comes to other shows on the SM, my reaction on those are perpetually the ones that Babusaheb had yesterday when Kalini, Malini, Rukmini was doing her thing! 😆 Again just my two cents....
So all said and done..can the next track be here ASAP, until then like Nim said...putting it all on cruise control, but not giving up just yet.! 😊
I’m totally with you on this… there has to be a logical culmination to this entire track.
They may be doing this for the sake of TRPs, but the makers have certainly lost the pulse of what attracted viewers to the show in the first place somewhere along the way. Like you, I’m completely new to ITV, and I only started watching Imlie because of the raw, organic feel that existed in the initial episodes. That is what gave them the viewership and the traction they currently have.
I’d like to believe that our fandom has never been drawn to these pathetic cliches of sautan drama angles and two sisters fighting over the same man. The connect between adilie always existed above and beyond Malini’s presence — yes, she was part of the story since the beginning, but she was always an external entity even after Adi married her. Nothing she could say or do was strong enough to break them apart. When adilie were always a unit even back then, I can’t wrap my head around why or how the writers are justifying pushing Malini into their equation to the extent that it’s creating this amount of discord now. I get that Malini will always be a character to be used to bring in some friction, yes, but this is an extreme and frankly unsettling level of intrusion when the adilie truth is already out and they are supposed to be stronger than ever now.
We can only hope that the makers have some other genuinely good reason to bring this angle in, because they would’ve most likely been able to maintain high TRPs, in fact higher maybe, without it. That’s how loyal fans have proven themselves to be…
