Okay today was mostly a mixed bag - decent Adilie scenes were interspersed with the C family nonsense and T family stupidity. Overall story progression, but FF button to the rescue to save my ears from all the screeching and yelling
We start with Pallavi leaving for the airport. The T family reminded me of that typical middle class family, jahaan jab koi foreign jaata hai, to puri family airport pahunch jaata hai to see them off. Radhaji laments about having had little time with her bahu, to which Aparna as usual taunts Imlie about wanted bahus leaving, while unwanted ones are still there. Adi decides to take matters in his hands and to wipe that horrible memory of Malini sitting on his bike, we get Adi saying he will reach the airport with Imlie on his bike so that uske wajah se koi pareshani na ho. Malini flashes back to the first time Imlie sat on Aditya's bike (oh those were the good times) and thinks had she heeded her mom's warning then, phir shayad things would have been different today (oh the delusions people keep). Malini tries to convince Adi to go in the car with them, but Imlie cuts her off saying Aparna will not like it, so it is better if they go by bike (Go Imlie!!). Rupi di then intercepts Malini and reminds her that no matter how much someone tries to get in between 2 people in love, others will always term that person baharwali. Malini tries to jatao that her marriage is the legal one, but Rupi reminds her that jab Miya Biwi Razi, toh kya karega kazi (Kazi = Malini + T ladies)
Mitthi lands up in Delhi and promptly gets hit by Dev's car (what was he doing in the bus stop 🤔) Anyway, he tries to call the T house where Sundar tells him that no one is home, and as usual Adi's phone is unreachable (I do not know why that man(Adi) keeps a phone. It is as good as him not having one like Imlie). Anyway Dev decides to take her to his house of all places - kyunki hospitals aur clinics toh Delhi main hain hi nahi
At the T house, Nishant is missing Pallavi and as usual Imlie lifts his spirits by putting on their wedding video. Wahaan pe group dance dekhkar Aparna precap wala taana maarti hai to remake the shaadi wala video without outsiders (kyunki shaadi main toh sirf gharwale hote hai). So as usual BS counter jawab dete hai. Aparna calls Adi's counter bakwaas, Adi calls her taane bachpana and Imlie tries to broker peace between them😆. How fun that little bit was. Imlie isnlike mujhe khaana time pe khana mile na mile, taane toh bahut milte hai khane ke liye. She compares Aparna to the typical ITV sasuma who keeps giving taunts to her bahu - thus cementing her relationship with Aparna even if Aparna does not want to accept it. While it brings a smile to Adi's and Pat's face, it prompts Malini to counter saying that Imlie will have to leave one day. She tries to catch herself saying that she may have to leave for higher studies as Adi does not like her college for Imlie. Adi promptly supports that thought saying he would love to send Imlie abroad if needed, and then also the family will come to say ta ta to her at the airport - basically equating her with Pallavi and ousting Malini again😆. Oh I loved this subtle chop by Adi again. It was nice to see.😆
Malini finds out that her father was trying to reach her (Sundar, message went to wrong person this time dear) and lands up back at the C house to see her mom screeching that Dev brought his mistress home. My good all that screeching had ne put my phone on mute and FF that scene to keep my eardrums and sanity intact. Malini tells her mom that Mitthi may have come to Delhi to support her daughter, which pushes AC to decide to torture her sautan by keeping her in the C house and prevent her from supporting her daughter
Anyway, Rupi di finds Imlie making shehad ka doodh for Aparna and Radha to make them feel better after giving Imlie so many taane. When asked, Imlie explains that even if they are berating her now, she cannot forget the love the showered her with just a few months back. She knows that love cannot disappear, it has just been pushed down under a looooot of layers of anger (and classist and entitled mentality). This prompts Rupi di to give Imlie a warning about being careful about Malini. I loved this bit here, as it shows the contrast between today and their talk when Malini first came to the T house. Then Imlie was blinded by her love for Malini, but now even Imlie is wary and aware that everything is not hunky dory as she would like to assume.
BTW, loved Imlie's dress today. The colour was so pretty and even her dupatta style was really nice.
Back to the episode. Aparna and Radha decide to call PD to ask Mitthi to take Imlie away and find out that Mitthi is in Delhi. Imlie overhears this and gets worried (for a second I got worried that phir se cutlery tootenge, lekin bach gaye😆). Imlie rushes to Adi to tell him that Mitthi is in Delhi and she is petrified as Mitthi has not landed home yet, so she may be alone in Delhi (Imlie does not know SK is not there with her, so woh itni pareshaan kyun ho gayi🤔). Oh well, Adi calms her down and assures her that they will find Mitthi and correctly then they get a call from Dev who tells them that Mitthi had an accident and is at the C house recuperating.
The precap shows Imlie and Mitthi getting insulted and tortured at the C house and Malini with Adi at the T house. Thank god for small mercies that we were spared with all of them living uder the same roof as suggested by the BTS. But looks like BS ki izzat is more and more in khatra going forward. Ab BS apne aap ko kaise bachayenge, yeh dekhne main mazaa ayega😆.
