Yep! I was referring to the classist remarks as well. But I guess by making the Tripathis unforgivable, makers are trying to not promote the idea I guess. Not sure how much they will succeed with that honestly!

We all know Imlie will eventually forgive Tripathis, they aren't even showing her feeling humiliated and rattled on what Ts are doing to her.

She hasn't even tell those losers off, so clearly they will give free pass to Ts as well.

I doubt makers will even make them grovel for forgiveness. Ideally if makers were against this Ideaz they would have shown Imlie's anguish behind these losers Ts and Cs behavior, but yahan Imlie never retaliates when trashes like didi and Ts humiliate her. That doesn't give good vibes.

Haha how I wish this happened!! A true journey for just Aditya and Imlie! It would be really refreshing if we get to see her telling the Ts off!! But an "ITV Sanskari bahu" is supposed to be beyond all those emotions and should bear with the taunts from her inlaws. Sadly thats what the majority seek! We can only hope they will show some subtle hints of her protesting! Even thats a rarity. All that matters is how the audience gonna take it now.

Okay, with the set of episodes we are getting this week and the ones we will be tortured with this week, I would like to write something about Malini. I usually am very careful about writing things about her, as my first full fledged review thread was attacked by trollers as I had focused on her in my entire review. It bothered me enough to stay away from sharing a lot of what I really think about that character, but today something is just pushing me to share.

The show has always whitewashed a lot of Malini's actions under the umbrella that she lost out on her 7 years ka rishta. People who felt that Imlie and Adi cheated her by falling in love, have conveniently forgotton what she has done, under the guise that it was expected as she felt wronged. Everything she did, including calling Imlie names, fighting with Adi, doubting his intentions, leaving her sasural in the drop of a hat, allowing her mother to insult everyone who lived in her marital home, giving her father a free pass, despite knowing he wronged Meethi and promising her justice, telling a lie to Adi to get the truth from him and then using that lie as a shield to continue to be in his life as a "friend", trying to kill herself over a suspicion, rather than confront the people about the truth, tell Adi's mother that Adi loved her once, but fell out of love with her (due to Imlie in subtext), despite Adi telling her multiple times that he never loved her, telling the truth to her mother, knowing what she is capable of, telling the truth to the T's, knowing the effect it will have in the current scenario, has been whitewashed by the fact that she did not send Adi to jail on knowing the truth.

Malini has always been that privileged brat who can never accept that someone of a lower strata than her has got something that she felt she had sole ownership of. She never loved Adi, just wanted to be in a relationship where she called the shots and the other person accepted it because she was saccharine sweet and had a gentle disposition. She assumed that because Adi loved his job so much, so her not complaining will show how mature she is. She assumed that if anything happens to Adi, she will show her support by calling people and showing her power, rather than actually getting down and dirty to solve the issue. Malini is like those girls who look pretty, but do not have substance, but them being nice & pretty like a doll, has people around wanting to be associated with them. Malini preens everytime she is praised, even for those things she had no direct contribution for. She is willing to take credit for things if it suits her purpose, but at the same time is willing to berate someone even if they are not at fault. While I agree that she is human and has flaws, but her flaws being whitewashed under the garb of her being a "goddess" does not allow me to connect with her in any way.

Malini lovers often bash us that we are being unnecessarily harsh on her. She is so fragile, that just the thought of losing someone made her want to take her life. This is a thought I cannot wrap my head around. Call me old fashioned, but I cannot seem to understand the need to justify her act. How is her being fragile Adi or Imlie's fault. How is her inability to face the facts and get out of her delusions Adilie or our problem. If she is supposed to be shown in an organic show that prides itself to show realistic situations, then why is her character so hard to root for. Even now, despite everything the T's have done, I know there will be a point where the makers will allow me to feel some kind of connect with them (not the way we used to, that bridge has been broken), but with Malini's character, I can assure you that will never happen. I understand the current situation where the world is slowly understanding the significance of mental health, and how we should not blame anyone who tries to take such a step. I also to a large extent agree that mental health is often overlooked and can lead to disastrous circumstances if not identified at the right time. But what I do not get is why someone else is being blamed for a choice that an individual took. If she was so unstable, either she should have spoken to someone, faced her fears or atleast accused Adi of putting her in a situation that is consuming her. If he was supposed to be her best friend, did she not owe him that much.

I understand that depression is something that when it takes over you cannot think, that sometimes when such an urge comes over, you cannot stop yourself or think logically. But what I do not understand is that how anyone can take their life as something they can play with and utilize it as a weapon to emotionally manipulate another person, which is what Malini did. She used her advantage to guilt Adi into forever being under her ehsaan, also then by accepting the truth that he never loved her.

Such a person cannot and should not be hailed. Such a person cannot be rooted for, no matter how long a redemption journey they show. Such a person cannot be someone's role model - at least not someone I would suggest as a role model. For me, even if Imlie was not in the picture, Malini could not have been someone I could identify with, but since Imlie is very much there in the picture, it just highlights the stark differences even more.

IMO The problem is, M and her circumstances or her place in overall scheme of events have (or had maybe now) quite a lot of potential to make her worthy for some rooting (hence our pull to think about her) but writers and / or director is not willing to or not capable of building up M as genuine third lead of the story. All they want is drama and in turn TRP out of M.

For first 20 odd episodes M was a victim for me (so were Aaditya and Imlie, no one’s intentions brought that crazy turn to their lives, it was just fate who did it) so she was on same plane as that of Aadilie till she chose to remain oblivious to truth Aadi tried to tell her and M downgrading began. She still was a delusional character and her being ok with tawa poem zoot made her selfish and delusional, but still a person with those traits.
Then she goes on and says all those dialogues vishwas ka rang safed and will wait till you tell me yourself. So she is delusional selfish person who wants to stick to values and give space to partner, well I don’t think these two traits can coexist😕 post that packs bags leaves sasural coz her husband didn’t tell her the truth and when he is back and telling she is not interested in knowing. There on many such contrasts in her character traits make it difficult to believe her to be more than imaginary.

The biggest contrast were this lady who is defeated to the extent that she doesn’t have any strength or patience left to validate her doubt about her relationship and is ready give her life up to get out of that situation, suddenly over a few hours starts scheming lies to know the truth by hook or crook, again a person can be defeated or have resolve enough to be manipulative to get what you want at a time, but not both. Once she gets the clarity that her doubts were real she not once tries to remind Aaditya what there 7 saal ka relation was, in split second accuses him of EMA, threatens of legal actions and asks divorce herself. But she also takes any reason to be around the person who doesn’t love her. So she is either strong headed self respecting sorted decision taker who accepts reality or she is has no self respect and just looks out for reason to keep that relationship alive, keeps avoiding any decisions, either she is mahan that she is trying to sort out her half sister life or she is self centred enough that she doesn’t she mind entangling unknown peoples lives into her problems. Malini is such a disrupted character that a moment you start thinking she is this and next moment writers make her say diagonally opposite and moreover she doesn’t do anything ( no choice or actions on her part at all) no matter if you are a negative or positive, weak or strong, delusional or realistic person one acts on they thoughts, M has not done anything as a choice or act of her own for so long that her words are nothing more than nuisance for a lot of us, hence her SS irritates. I hv not seen many complaining about Anu or even Dev’s Screen presences for that matter, coz they are well established traits.
Do Makers think keeping audiences in guess mode forever is entertaining 🤷‍♀️ well it’s annoying. And that’s why our harsh comments for M.

With so much tossing of M there is no emotion that develops when I see M on screen, she is just a very annoying camera that’s blocking my view of Aadilie every now and then.

Today DM called Imlie a naive, poor soul without any connections or name when she set out to find Adi.

Pin pointing her inadequacies is making her stick to her delusion of somehow making her marriage stick ... making it work needs 2 people and she does not consider Adi's wishes at all in this regard. Just out of pure jealousy and her own delusions trying to stay in a shaadi that has lost its meaning for the associated parties..

In Roja too the heroine does not know Hindi and is in a strange or new place, never seen snow ever... but she still takes on the govt, the army, the baddies...as she has vishwaas in her shaadi.. MS ki taakat and all that..

So too shall Imlie, she has SM and her vishwaas, she knows that her BBSB will not leave her and she will find him..

If we get this kind of track from the makers, it will be truly epic and hoping/praying to SM that we get something like this with unique Adilie touch. I can ignore the antics of DM, DT (be like see no evil, hear no evil) everyone if we get a dang ka track to find Adi.

Sorry for barging in, i just wanna say what bakwaas panti we r being shown nowadays, mera dil uth raha hai iss show se but i love imlie so much, my halat is like I don’t wanna watch it bcz of didi bakwaas but phir raha bhi nahi jata imlie ki wajah se, bs koi kisi tarah se didi ko gayab krde😡😭
