So today was dhamaks number 2, but a much better episode than yesterday. Aaj sab Imlie ki izzat bachane ke chakkar mein lag gaye, be in Adi, Malini or Badke Kaaki, while kiske izzat ki charcha ho rahi thi, woh aaj bilkul chup ho gayi thi.
The episode started with the press conference where Imlie was being accused of having an EMA with Delhi ke jaane mane reporter, Aditya Kumar Thripathi. AC promoted Adi from middle class reporter to jaane maane reporter to suit her purpose😆. Anyway, wahhan pe bhi all Dev could do was his token dialogues to stop harassing Imlie and then went on to confront his wife about her kartoot. AC with full confidence said - Malini said that Adi & Imlie love each other, due to which he left their daughter. AC & DC's conversation today was hilarious, because even if he did not agree to anything AC said at first, watching the next scene unfold in front of his eyes, made him think from AC's perspective.
Is pure chakkar mein, luckily someone from the college called Adi and told him what was happening. Uske baad jo nikle humare Thripathiji, ke he was not able to even comprehend what to say to his mother when she questioned him on where he was going. Bechara "Emergency" bolke wahaan se bhaag gaya, leaving Aparna confused in his wake, ki kya emergency😆
In the meanwhile wahaan pe AC ke accusations and press ke questions mein ghiri Imlie was so scared and confused, that all I wanted to do was hug her & growl at AC. Which is exactly what Adi did. Just before he reached there, apparently someone threw ink on her face, but they poorly edited out that scene and it looked weird. Matlab precap mein dikha sakte hai, but episode mein nahi - cannot understand that logic. But Imlie ko waise dekhkar jo satki Adi ki, woh baras pada sab pe. He berated everyone of them for coming there and accusing Imlie & him without any proof and that journalism does not warrant cheap gossip to sell news. It reminded me of the way he berated Jainendra when he tried to tell the truth - Dont get personal and if you want to say the truth, then ensure you have all the facts before you malign someone's character. I think today he was even more outraged that this people maligned his profession, which Imlie just a few days back had hailed as being a noble profession which she herself would like to pursue.
Is beech T house mein phone pe phone aane lagte hai with people trying to confirm if what they were seeing was true. Adi sach kehta hai, pure T family mein koi news hi dekhta, apart from Adi. Unko koi khabar hi nahi thi ke chal kya raha hai. Luckily CK suggests let us turn on teh news, maybe we will know more there. News chalake jo dhrishya unhe dikha, becharon ke hosh ud gaye. The literally could not belive what was going on and were really worried for both Adi & Imlie.
In the meanwhile at the college, after breaking up the conference and someone's camera, he confronted AC as to why she was doing all this, when she mentioned that Malini told her that he loves Imlie. Adi refuses to believe her and a few moments later, Malini confirms his belief saying that her mom misunderstood. She was splitting mad at her mom for making this mess, especially at her college and drags her mom away from there.Adi then pacifies Imlie under the keen watch of Dev, whose doubts were getting solidified. But I loved Adi's "I don't give a damn" attitude and took Imlie from there.
Adi & Imlie reach home, where Imlie looked terrified, I assume thinking what the T family must be thinking about what happened. But one look at her and Aprna just ran to do what I had been wanting to do myself - just enveloped her in a loving hug without any questions. Imlie just broke down, with all her fears and humiliation coming out as tears, while the T family ladies were consoling her.
Phir aayi baari meri predictions ke sach hone ki. Radha ne Imlie ki shaadi ki baat chedi aur BS ke hosh ud gaye🤣. Wahaan everyone else was like, Imlie bachchi hai, how can we get her married, but Radha's retorts that at the same age AC can accuse her and if we can take responsibility of her studies, we can do the same for her marriage. Sab bechare Radhaji ko distract karne mein lag gaye, but she refused to listen to any kind of reason. Finally Adi could not take this shaadi discussion anymore and shut everyone up saying "Imlie shaadi shuda hai". Now what will be the repurcussions of this confession, kal hi pata chalega.
Precap looks like it will be stretched till Saturday, as the pic ka scene abhi tak aaya nahi. Waise I toh feel it is a red herring, but I may be chopped and the full sach may also come out, pata nahi. But ek cheez ki guarantee hai - drama bahut hoga, aur humein discuss karne mein bahut mazaa aayega.
BTW, one shoutout to ST. That girl had little to no dialogues in this entire episode. Yet with just her face, she showed every bit of the fear, humiliation and regret that Imlie was feeling. That girl just reaffirms every time that she is a stellar of an actor and has a bright & shining career ahead. She was a class on her own today and deserves all the accolades.🤗👏
