Awesome review AY as always and I am glad to see the makers give us some good moments that takes the story ahead as well. As Sandy mentioned it has been 3 months since Adi's promise to remember to today's proposal to remember. Tab bhi token words and gestures ki zaroorat nahi thi and today also it was not needed. Loved that their proposal was as unconventional and unique as their relationship has always been. Adi and Imlie have always stayed away from the standard romantic trappings that have been shown for normal romantic couples and it is fitting that his proposal also be as different as they are.
The entire build up to the proposal was soo Imlie, where first Sundar jhat se being his sweet self, gave Imlie the feeling of someone going down on his knees for her on a whim. I love SunLie's relationship for how organic it is. He inherently feels for her as a friend and understands that above everything she is a naive 19 year old with wishes like one. He always tries to spontaneously make her feel better in his own way, whenever he sees her feel out of place in any situation and that showed today in that small glimpse.
Then came Imlie's own song. God it has been so long since we heard her make up a song and sing to herself. That was soo cute. Her pondering regarding how BS will propose when she saw that ring and then giving herself her own proposal in BS's style to make herself feel happy about it. Love that this girl never needs anyone else to feel happy, woh apni khushi khud dhoond leti hai and it is a breath of fresh air to see this, against how Malini was pouting to everyone that Adi did not give her a rose on Valentine's day when she saw everyone else get one (sorry to bring her up here, but could not resist the comparison😆). Anyway, it was so endearing to see BS tapko right then and she going all shy and scared that what he will think, without seeing how BS was enjoying her taang kheechoing😆. When he went down on his knees and tried to give her the traditional "will you marry me" wala proposal, wahaan pe bhi Imlie flipped it by going down on her knees to refer her vachan that koi bhi kam ya zyada nahi hoga in this relationship, it will be one of barabari. Here is where her maturity and saaf dil comes out, where even in traditional situations, she does not want either of them to feel smaller in front of the other. Her kneeling down to meet his eyes and him again coming down to her level so that they are equal shows that sense that despite the age difference and different places they come from, their souls are intertwined such that their relationship will always be on equal footing.
Nishant and Pallavi finding out was good, because somewhere what doubts he had were finally cleared in a good way. Loved that when he first saw them, his reaction was how Adi was spoiling Imlie's life by involving her in an illicit relationship, which spurs Adi to tell the whole truth (against others who were more appalled that he chose someone like Imlie). Both NishVi were able to accept the truth quite gracefully and accepted Imlie as their bhabhi, with Pallavi even going ahead to be her confidant if she needed any support. Good that Imlie is slowly getting more members of the T house on her side before the reveal, so that it is that much easier for her to transition to being accepted as the ghar ki bahu.
I actually liked the KC-didi scene for the way he called her out on her BS that she has been convincing others and herself on. I think of everybody on KC can do it as he does not know her and is currently not invested in her in anyway. His questions and statements were as if the writers had taken every comment us viewers were lamenting on last week and thrown it at didi theogh KC. Let us see agar uska thoda bhi fayda ho that she goes back with him, else as usual she hangs around being Adi's gale ki ghanti.
Did not like the Meethi scene too much, as something tells me it is not going to be good for her tomorrow. But loved the precap and am expecting it to bee a week long one. So happy to see AC bringing the dhamaka here, coz I knew that DC would never have the guts to reveal it himself. BTW as far as I remember the dress Imlie was wearing in the BTS was not the green one, so likely the Imlie-DC-Meethi confrontation will happen after the festivities, fingers crossed 🤞.
Overall a bumper start to the week. Looking forward to more beautiful Adile moments during the shaadi celebration.
