Finally have caught the update and as always thank you for the reminder😊

All I will say is I loved the connection shown between Aditya and imlie especially when they don’t realise what they will become for each other on the future, what I love is his connection with her even when he is unsure of what it means and why it is happened but the truth in his own thoughts was a delight to read. This makes me wonder how they end up married and what triggers her resolve to save him when so far the story doesn’t require it.

Beside this one can also relate with the whole family vibe they share especially the men. Seem the hurt of betrayal never really leaves.

Look forward to reading more soon. Beautiful post as always 😊

Take care Raaz

Heyy,

Finally caught up with the whole story. Loved reading a slightly alternate version where Aditya is experiencing feelings for Imlie. Really liked that you started writing from the start of their story and writing about their POVs more. Really looking forward to know your version of their experience in the rain.

Beautifully done.👍🤩

Thanks a lot. Glad u liked it. This is my first time write a fanfic which is an alternate version of the show. Hope u like the further chapters as well.

Basically, I wanted to show a certain connect between them before the forced marriage. His callousness, rudeness and anger stemming from denial of his very feelings and her hurt, her Heartbreak stemming from the connection she felt with him - this is what I wanted to show in depth. I felt the show did not delve deep into that. They were mere acquaintances when they were forcefully married and he considered her the root of all problems, but to justify all of it, I wanted a particular connect between them to take them a step forward from being just mere acquaintances.

Part 14: Kuch Lamhe Saath Ke - 1

With his leg much better, all credits to Imlie for looking after him, Aditya decided to take a round of village and also meet Chandu to get some more information on Satyakam. He spoke about this to Satyakam who complied and asked Imlie to take him around the village as he himself was leaving to avoid any danger on her and Meethi as well as Aditya. After a brief phone call to Malini, Aditya stepped out of the lodge only to see Imlie waiting for him with a very unexpected ride - A Cycle!

"Are we seriously going around on this cycle?" he asked pointing at it which made her turn as she was facing the other side. Her face held annoyance and he couldn't help but laugh at how adorable she looked in the moment.

"Oh No Babusaheb! We have specially called a helicopter to escort you" she said sarcastically.

"Very funny! Now let's get to the point! Are you seriously telling me I have to ride this cycle with you at the behind?"

"Yes Babusaheb! Surely with your punctured tire you can ride this bicycle on these kaccha roads, without dropping either of us or the cycle." Imlie said sarcastically blinking her eyes with a mild smile.

Aditya rolled his eyes at her.

"Fine you'll ride it. But the question is how will you be able to balance both our weights?"

"Hey Sita Maiyya, silence is a gift you haven't given to this Shehri Langoor and that's why he's eating my head with questions when all he had to do was just come and sit. 10 mins have already gone in this!" Imlie said dramatically looking up at the sky.

Aditya huffed at her dramatics and being called Sheheri langoor and moved towards the cycle.

"I'm a Langoor it seems! Uggh! I still asked valid questions!" Aditya murmured but Imlie heard it anyways and stifled a laugh at his grumpy expression and annoyed words.

Just as they were about to take their seats, the sky filled with grey clouds indicating the onset of heavy rains in some hours.

"It's going to rain!!!!" Both shouted, the difference being Imlie squealing with delight and Aditya grumbling with annoyance. They immediately looked at each other, their faces holding a frown each

"How can you be so happy to know it's about to rain??" Aditya asked

"How can you be so unhappy to know it's about to rain?" Imlie snapped back.

"Will we even reach Chandu's house?"

"Why fear when Imlie is here? I know you are in a hurry to reach your beloved waiting in the city but anyways you have to stay here till tomorrow and so, calm down and leave things to me. I'll take you everywhere and we'll reach home safely before it begins to rain." Imlie said while Aditya looked at her open mouthed.

"What do you even mean by beloved waiting in the city and where did she come from in this conversation? Jhalli kahiki!"

"Babusaheb do not call me Jhalli! I'm the only one in this entire village who has got a scholarship. I'm very smart! Have you ever got a scholarship??" she asked irritated.

"Oh is it! But I'll be calling you Jhalli only! If you want me to stop, stop calling me Langoor first!" he said with a slight smirk, enjoying her irritated expressions.

"Uggh! Whatever! Let's go now" she said and sat on the cycle. Aditya settled at the back and they finally began the journey.

"You are my world Rupali and soon the symbol of our love will be joining us as well. We'll always remain together. I love you so much!" Pranav said as he took his 6 month old pregnant wife in a back hug. She smiled contentedly and rested her head against his chest.

"I love you too Pranav" she said with a smile as she lifted her head up to meet his eyes. He smiled back and gently kisses her cheeks.

"You look so beautiful" he said pushing the loose strands of her black tresses behind her ear, while admiring her beauty, enhanced by the redness of her cheeks and the pregnancy glow. She blushed deeply and her eyes lowered even as he turned her towards himself. Just as they were about to kiss, she felt a movement in her belly, causing her to move back.

"What happened?" he asked worriedly.

She shook her head and happily lifted her husband's hand and placed it on her baby bump. A wide smile formed on his face even as hers widened even more. It was their baby's kick. He knelt down and placed his ear on the bump when the baby kicked again. He kissed her baby bump and lovingly spoke to their child inside her.

A lone tear escaped her eyes even as she closed it painfully trying to swallow the lump in her throat. That was such a wonderful moment. After that day, she had come to her maykaa for the last few months of her delivery, only she dint know things would never be the same again. Her delivery was complicated and their baby too had quite a few problems due to being premature. The first 8 months after childbirth went in all these itself. And after this long struggle when she returned home, she was positive there wouldn't be any more struggles like this since their baby and she were finally fine. But little did she know she was completely wrong. The way he started becoming distant with her baffled her but she felt she was unnecessarily assuming things since he was a doting father to their baby. If only she had listened to her instincts then.

And then came that day, the worst day of her life. The day she learnt about his affair, about his mistress being pregnant with his illegitimate child and the day she had kept her self-respect, masking her hurt and heartbreak and walked out with her one year old daughter. They had then annulled their marriage with their daughter's complete custody given to her and he had walked away to marry his mistress, without an ounce of shame or regret. That was when she realised the bitter truth that all of his love was a facade and so was his "love" for their daughter.

Love,

That’s a lovely thought to have and one I can relate with in the show. It does feel like there has been a lack of development on the front of this soulful connection. It will be a soulful read for sure on how they deal with this heartbreak, redemption but most of all you have me excited on how they shall heal and accept what they have.

The phase of acceptance and letting go of fear is one direction that can go in so many ways. For me I wonder whom will take the leap first.

As they never really will get to bond as friends or will they later. I hope in this journey imlie gets the right shoulders lean on even if it comes with a price.

Lovely continuity of the story so I see Rupi will become her pilled and arc. I do like this twist we’re we got to see more about her and her story. It is sad to read about yet at the same time one feels pride she learnt to walk away and fight for her self respect but most of all kept control in her relationship.

I wonder if this is the story and lesson that will help her guide her future decisions for her and them. How she deals with these fears has me curious already or will he be making the leap for them?

Will he ever evaluate why he felt connected with her and why him and Maline are not compatible. Will his sister help him. So many questions. Sigh wonder already.

Also I loved the conversation and banter between the two seems like the calm before the storm. I love how he got defence when she teased him so typical babusahib 😊

Once again a wonderful update. Update soon.

Take care Raaz

Part 15: Kuch Lamhe Saath Ke - 2

The weather was cloudy but pleasant with the fresh breeze blowing across, refreshing and cool. But Aditya's attention wasn't on any of it at all because he was more worried but falling off the cycle! Imlie turned to look at him now and then and his fearful expression made her giggle internally though she put up an annoyed face while facing him. The next time she turned, he held her head instantly but gently and made her look front, the reaction unknown to him causing weird sensations within her.

"What are you doing? Look front and drive!! Oh Lord! Why did I even agree to come with this Jhalli!! I just pray that we reach without me having to break any bones!"

"Hey Sita Maiyya! (facepalming herself) Are you some kid Babusaheb that you are behaving such? Stop that and look around. Spread your hands and take the feel of the village." Imlie said

Aditya just shook his head and looked around. After a few reluctant moments, he spread his arms and looked up at the sky. It felt blissful. Imlie smiled seeing him so happy and they reached their destination.

_____________________________________________________________________________________

The day was eventful with the two roaming about in the entire village. Right from learning about age old customs like ManMilan at Pagdandiya to picking up mangoes from the tree, from watching farmers harvesting their crops to potters making pots, they did it all. The belief in the sanctity of Sindoor and how it was prominently considered here made him very intrigued. The villagers based a majority of their belief on this very Sindoor. He knew sindoor was of importance to a married woman but he dint know it was this important. And with this arose his interest in taking some sindoor for Malini since she had specifically asked for a gift from him, probably the first time since they began dating. He spoke of the same to Imlie readily agreed to take him but of course, did not back down from teasing him continuously. He couldn't help but smile at her lively chatter and teasing remarks.

Enroute to the temple where Imlie informed he would get the sindoor, Aditya spotted a bangle shop with glass bangles gleaming in various colours.

"Imlie, stop here. I want to buy something" he said making her stop. They both got down the cycle and while he walked towards the bangle shop, she followed behind with her cycle.

"Kaka, how much will this pair of bangles cost?" he asked showing a set of silver bangles, which were more of a greyish silver shade.

"It costs 10 rupees Sahab" the vendor said. Aditya nodded and paid for it. As soon as he turned, he saw Imlie looking at him with a questioning look.

"Who are these bangles for Babusaheb? Sheher waali Memsaab?"Imlie asked with a teasing glint in her eyes.

"What is this Sheher waali Memsaab? Her name is Malini"

"But I can't call her by her name right? She's elder to me"

"Hmmm.....Didi!"

"Hein what? I'm not your Didi!!" Imlie exclaimed horrified, her eyes wide.

Aditya chuckled at her silliness and said

"Jhalli kahiki! You are not my Didi! I said you can call her Didi!" Aditya said unaware that he had connected two people who would change his world , by who they really are!

"Oh! Okay then! So are these bangles for Malini Didi?" she asked again, a strange sense of warmth spreading in her at the name, something she hadn't felt for Malini, but felt at the mention of Malini Didi.

"No!" he said making her furrow her eyebrows in confusion

"Then for whom?" she asked utterly confused.

"Its for you" he said making her eyes widen slightly.

"For me? But why?" she asked, a smile on her face. She hadn't received any gifts from anybody apart from her Amma and Dadda and that too would most of the times be stolen or destroyed by Nakli Nani.

Aditya himself dint know why. He had just felt it right to buy something for her. But why? Unable to and also not wanting to answer himself, he just said

"Just to say thank you" he said with a slight smile

"Thank you Babusaheb" she said with a wide smile even as she accepted it. The gleam of delight and childish happiness at receiving a gift in her eyes made his smile widen as well. He just kept looking at her even as she happily slipped the bangles onto her wrist and showed them to him, their clamour weaving an enticing tune. It was a simple moment, one with no malice in it yet the pair of eyes watching them with a disgusting smirk could only see in which way she could use it to her advantage.

They continued their journey happily, unaware of the storm waiting to engulf them!

She clutched the tiny blue dress in her hands, caressing it gently even as she felt tears pool her eyes to the brim. She placed her cheek on it, trying to get some solace from its soft warmth even as her tears started flowing down freely.

"My baby" she whispered tearfully even as her hands went to her belly, caressing it gently. Her broken heart burned with agony. It felt like burning embers had been placed on her tender, shattered heart, its heat burning her and driving her at the same instant.

A warm hand caressed her hairs gently and that's when she looked up.

"Mumma.....m-my baby....mumma....." she muttered brokenly even as she slipped into the warm and comforting embrace.

"I know my child.....I know.....I can't heal your pain even if I want to. All I can do is lend you my shoulder to lean on. Cry my child, cry and let it out"

And hearing these words, she broke down completely.
