true that...but hiding it somehow indicates to me she is not able to completely do what she wants. I am ok with that tho - I really would prefer Imlie has a carefree college life unburdened by the perception of being a married woman by her peers.

Waise I never used to dwell on it as much before but now that Didi ka yeh elitist side is fully out for all of us to see, now I'm remembering ki you used to mention many times that Malini will struggle with processing the truth of Adi falling for someone like Imlie.....I used to think it might be more about her hurt related to losing Adi after 7 years but now all these recent events are proving your point.....it's going to become an exercise in salvaging her image rather than her marriage.

More than the marriage falling apart, she is unable to bear that IMLIE is so effortlessly garnering all this love and admiration from all corners....down to even the Principal of her own college on day one.....lol so this is clearly not about saving her marriage for Malini then....she feels like an "inferior" girl like Imlie is encroaching on her life and the sense of control she had over every part from her college, to Adi, to the Ts.....and that is what Malini is just not being able to bear.

All the things like the Moti Roti incident etc. are now fully coming into context....this was what Malini was about all along but it got covered up in a lot of sugary acts and the need to pretend to herself that she's not as petty and shallow when she really was all along.

Waise Didi has no one but herself to blame for bringing Imlie to her college😆....aur dikhaao fake mahaanta that you don't really mean....lol....Imlie will effortlessly win over everyone in that college also and Didi jal bhun ke raakh hoti rahengi.

@bold - this. I mean which woman goes around giving her sindoor even in extreme anger. And why? Maybe because your husband said let that girl be? And she cannot blame him for telling her off in the open considering she was the one who brought the drama on to the road. The reason all this grates is because she has no clue that Aditya is married twice. Had she known and was doing all this drama it would make more sense, to an extent. Doing it on the basis of a suspicion is just being her mom. Her mother has no guts to ask her husband the truth and neither does Malini. They want to be entrenched in the suffering themselves and keep the others buried in it too. All the while throwing around their privilege at people.

Yeah the reason I felt that she could care less earlier on about Aditya was because of the rain incident the day Nishant comes. Something changed then in her and it had nothing to do with Aditya but everything to do with control and how she lost it that day to Imlie.

Re college - lol exactly right? Imlie was so good with those students in the beginning. It is not going to take long before they all like her for who she is. And Malini is just going to wallow in her jealousy. Pata nahin kya kya karegi Imlie ke saath because of it

And yes, it's also possible that someone in the family may notice the vibes between Adi-Imlie and start to think that Malini's insecurity of her is justified...the person most likely to support Malini here is Rupi....it would be a return to the Rupi from the early days of the show, who was quite rude and misbehaved with her own family waale too. Tripathis mein bas ek hi insaan hai who has taken a walk down the dark side before toh they might try to align her with Malini on this.

Malini crossed a major line in this epi but I guess her full elitism and snobbery related to Imlie still won't register on the Tripathis for a while.....and she will continue to get the sympathy of "bechari wife" until the truth is revealed.....that is the loophole they may use in getting Rupi to sympathize with her.

If Nishant finds out, I don't see him blindly supporting Malini....he will know Adi and Imlie's side of the story and will approach the situation with that context.

@bold - I do hope they give him the full truth. It will be nice to have someone within the Ts in their corner. Even Mithi has only the half truth so far. I doubt Prakash’s “woh Imlie se prem karte hain” registered at all.

Nishant seems sorted to an extent and so do the entire T clan. However, the men might still not want to believe any of the Rupali suspicions when they start coming out while the women might all end up being on Malini’s side during the saga. Rupali was annoying in the beginning and so was Nidhi so they may make them go fully cray cray for a while. I just hope there in no mistreatment nonsense.

Yes, it doesn’t look like Imlie is apologizing. She is very quietly trying to make her point and Didi cut her off then too..

This is probably why she isn't giving that dhamki yet ki main ghar chhod ke chali, cuz she knows Adi happily accept bhi kar lega and bolega bye🤣. Isliye faltu ke drame karti rahegi but confront nahin karegi and stand bhi nahin legi.....cuz she knows the moment she does that, it's game over and rishte ka the end.

The show has kept it momentum with the three main characters so far.

Imli a pure soul, whose only dream is to be educated and better life for her amma. The girl has broken the glass ceiling, yet very rooted to the traditions. Where chuari is a family and sindoor is faith. Submul is raw talent. Kid will go a long way.

Malini a weak minded, ultra insecure , hathi ke daat khane ke aur dikhane ke aur type of a person. With a mantra , if it bothers me it has to be the priority issue for Triphathi’s so manipulatively plays the victim card. Like laying out Adi as a stubborn, careless, unromantic guy, while she is the sole woman in entire universe who knows him, and jelofying him.
Adi, is straight shooter, which to his family often comes to his family as akdoo. The guy who lives and breathe telling truth, now this single lie is destroying reputation of integrity. Before marriage he wanted truth to be hidden, for the sake of his family and Malini. Now it’s becoming unbearable for him, but stopped by imlii from revealing it. He thinks truth will set all free, on contrary Imli thinks truth will sink ok all.

Besides the main three, rest of the characters are equally good.which makes show more enjoyable. The goofball Ts, entertaining Sunder, and top it with sk and Mithi.

Story is progressing well. Finally we saw the arrival of Mrs.AC 2.0. People who were jhanda gading as Milini to be torch bearer of women empowerment, had the dreams come crushing. Kinda hilarious, she ran to the temple to justify her and mama’s privileged act. And needed blessing for becoming Mrs. AC. She is gonna be strong not demanding answers from Adi, or preparing to digest the truth.( which I think she knows it, but not brave enough to handle ) but unleashing sarcastic storm against Imli. Quite twisted isn’t it?
Last night episode was more horrific.Imli could very cell hand a bunch of cocky kids- outsiders. But badly berated by our own “ payari, samjdhar” didi. I wish T gang would stood strong against didi’ s Dayan swroop.

WTH ....protecting her, teaching mannerism, discipline her...elitism to the core.

My heart goes out to Imli, the day she looked for years, totally ruined not by bunch of haughty kids, or the principal but by her Didi. Didn’t didi claimed she enjoyed imli’s antics...now she she wants give her crash course on mannerism. And aaj ke baad sindoor nahi lagaogi...and all. Now lady is into my way or highway territory..when does staying strong equate to authority?....

has didi adopted Imli, because neither it’s responsibility nor her right to give Imli lessons on behavior skills.

So now that didi has gone to the bottom of the barrel. Adi needs to come out stronger to protect Imli. And Imli needs the grasp the reality.

I think, since she is full blown AC. Even if she knows the truth would not leave Adi. Just like AC 19 years of toxic relationship, yet AC hasn’t walked off on Dev, is it because the entitlement she brags about is because of him. He is sissy but a loaded man. So maybe Malini for not Adi, but the rest T and Imli will soothe her Entitled ego.

@bold 1 Mithi knowing about the situation makes me think that makers have opened the way for Imlie to go back when the situation escalates or truth comes out. She might choose to leave because she might blame herself for Malini health. But I also think that Imlie needs her mother's view that though sacrifice/hiding was the right path for Mithi, it is not the right path for Imlie because circumstances of the two situations are way different and the biggest difference is that Dev was not ready to fight whereas Aditya is waiting for the permission to fight for her rights.

Re Imlie: Hence it was a unpopular opinion. I just do not want her to give up her faith for the guilt 😛...Agree on that they have to balance things out between the two but will wait for that day 😆

Mithi instantly connected Imlie's fate to herself even though the situations are markedly different.....but Mithi ka first thought yehi aaya ki Imlie ko bhi kisi shehri ne dhoka diya and use wife ka maan nahin diya. The thing I was most struck by in Mithi's scene yesterday was her thinking that her daughter is doomed like her, while the fact is that Adi is driven by the very determination to make sure that Imlie NEVER suffers her mother's fate....that he gives her her due regard/respect....Adi is determined to NOT become Dev.....meanwhile Malini has fully chosen to become her Mom.....

So all these characters are pushing against the baggage of their past parallel versions in different ways....Mithi's first reaction was to give in to despair, Malini has chosen to give in to darkness.....but Adi has shown determination to throw off this baggage of the past and refuse to submit those presumptions. He is determined to do right by destiny this time....and that is what will ultimately decide the course of this story flowing in a notably different direction than that of Dev-Mithi-AC.

Imlie is blissfully unaware of this past baggage for now....lol....but use pata bhi hota toh she would never accept that she has the same fate as her mom....she would still blaze a path through her dreams.

Every time since the first time Malini saw Imlie, if I go back and watch the episodes, Malini's initial reactions for about 5 seconds to Imlie getting Aditya's attention whether Imlie was present or not has always first been jealousy/unhappy/upset before she covered it up with her sugary self. The audience was shown Malini's real reactions but the writers made Aditya's character never see it. All Aditya has seen is her covered-up expression, but the audience has seen in those 5 seconds the real Malini. For example, when Aditya-Imlie sneezed together, when Aditya-Imlie fought over moti roti, when Aditya gifted Imlie SM moorthi after 2nd PD trip, after Aditya spoke about moti roti the first time, after Aditya spoke about moti roti when his boss came over, when Aditya did not wait in the rain because of Imlie when Nishanth came home, and there are so many more instances. In all these scenes, Malini's first reaction shown in the first 5 seconds was always different (upset, jealous) from how she eventually reacted (supportive, sweet, happy). And I always wondered when watching these scenes, why was she just shown upset and now happy....why the instant change in her reactions in just a few seconds. I never understood it and I never gave too much of a thought. Her first reaction was never genuine happiness, it was always one that showed she was upset. If writers did this on purpose, then I must appreciate the layered writing they have done for Malini's character. As I said, I always wondered why Malini reacted in an upset manner and then showed happiness....why the change. But now it all makes sense. Her those 5 seconds of the initial reaction was who she always was, and then the reaction after that is who she pretended to be. Wow.......if this is true, then this is one of the best grey characters ITV has seen. I would love the writers to show us Malini's redemption track too way in the future. Her redemption track should not be about whitewashing her or showing her as a sugary self, but the real Malini who has understood where following her mother's footsteps led her. This is just the beginning of her downfall, she has a long way to go down, before her redemption track can start.

Yes, Imlie is not apologizing only an acknowledgement. She was saying that I understand but Malini seems to have crossed the limit of her rationality at this point.

Aditya is going to lose it more but I think Imlie might stop him at this point which might trigger Nishant antenna more.

If Nishant is the only one there from the family, I guess it's possible that Nishant tells Adi what happened vis a vis Malini yelling at Imlie for this sindoor situation, Adi then subsequently explodes on Malini to which Nishant is somehow a witness or he overhears....this is why he will also end up becoming witness to Didi ka follow up tamasha of going and handing sindoor ki dibbi to Imlie again.

I'd thought Adi puri family ke saamne Malini ko dusri Mrs. C wala taunt maarega😆....but shaayad room mein hi karega confront Malini ko.

So yes, whole thing might be a setup to make Nishant start to sense the issues between Adi-Malini as well as the undercurrents between Adi-Imlie.

If Didi keeps up this bakwaas, Adi is going to start showing up at the college daily as Imlie ka bodyguard😆. And if Didi questions ki what are you doing here, he'll simply be like you've proven you can't watch out for Imlie, toh main aa gaya....end of discussion🤣.

Unless they change Imlie's college somehow, Adi wahaan aata rahega....use ghanta farak padta hai ki Malini kya sochegi😆....his concern is going to be about protecting/supporting Imlie.
