I know I'm speaking from Imlie's perspective. She didn't want anyone to see it either, but that doesn't mean it wouldn't have hurt her to see that whole scene take place. And I know he felt bad too 😆 He obviously didn't want to part with it, but the situation is still sad for her. After all that effort to watch something you've made get thrown away like that sucks. (I say as someone who has had someone throw out a random drawing accidentally, and this was very precious to her)
