I never thought I would be making such a post so early but anyway...
There would be many posts like this one I am sure but I just had to say these for myself.
We all have a life outside of the show and it is time now that we move on with what we have gained from Humsafars. Let the good memories remain and be cherished forever...
1. Harshad Chopda - Well, he has been around for quite a few years now but for people who do not follow many soaps with regularity, he was almost non-existent. Humsafars gave Harshad Chopda to the world. This is the audience's greatest gain. I wouldn't again repeat the million things that can be said about his talent but would just wish him well for his future. He has gained a permanent place in the hearts of fans worldwide who will stand by him for a long time to come. God bless him and give him not just what he deserves but much much more than that 👍🏼
2. Sahir Azeem Chaudhary - The beautifully broken, exquisitely layered, intense, complex, and adorable SAC. A man of extremes, a one of a kind character that needed understanding from a different perspective altogether. Many people saw the surface, the words, the actions - and found him unacceptable. BUT there were even more who related to him, loved him - not because he was the 'male' lead or a gorgeous looking hunk but because they understood the soul of Sahir - scarred but pristine, flawed yet perfect, misguided but with the heart in its right place! Therefore, beyond the shadow of a doubt, Sahir is a success 👏 Yes, he will always remain the masterpiece of Humsafars and will go down history as one of the most beautifully etched characters on the small screen. Whoever has seen HC play Sahir will always remember him as Sahir - even many roles and many years later.
3. SaAz - A wonderfully orchestrated couple - his rejection her acceptance, his darkness her light, his reticence her vibrance, his depths her heights. Poles apart yet so similar, one the mirror image of the other, completing each other as humsafars and humdard finally. They had the most silent understanding and the most blazing chemistry that set our screens on fire. We will always remember the music of this SaAz - the powerful, passionate tones of deep love and understanding beyond all barriers. SaAz are truly humsafars 👏
4. Arzoo Nausheen Khan - And what would SaAz be without the simple yet tempestuous and bold Arzoo? She did take a beating in the middle of the show but in the end she has risen beautifully to heal the hurting Sahir. She has matured and gone the distance to make this relationship of equality, mutual respect and undying love and faith 👏
5. Shivya Pathania - Hats off to Shivya to match up to HC in her debut role! She has a long way to go still as an actress but she definitely will make it. She has not only won our hearts with her portrayal of Arzoo but also with her warm off-screen persona. Shivya, way to go!
6. The music - The melody of Humsafars will live on for a long time too. It was the soul of SaAz again 😊 Quite unlike any other television show, even unlike the composer's earlier creations - the whistling tune will be an unforgettable part of our journey with Sahir and Arzoo. So will the other tunes and lyrics - 👏 They were as different as our SaAz!
7. The totally significant others -
a. Asharfi 😃
b. Sahir's dimly-lit room with the Turkish lights and the pool (as enchanting as the occupant himself)
c. Sahir's poetry, the feather pen and the table with the blue lamp (a part of Sahir's being)
d. The coffee mugs (transitioning from Attitude to Teamwork)
e. Saiyyara, Sahir's cabin and the door (with so many memories...)
f. The outhouse, especially the porch
g. Burnt toasts and the rain
There goes...I think I am done now and I am sure I have missed many...
And now for the new beginning...for there has to be one when something ends.
Let us rejoice that we got to know Sahir and Arzoo and got to witness their wonderful love story. They will be lost to us soon but I will wait eagerly for another journey to begin. HC will come back with another show on a better channel (if not a movie ) and we will all see each other there again 😃
Thank you all! It has been wonderful to meet so many talented people on this forum and read so many beautiful write ups.
Take care, stay good, and see you all soon 🤗
