Shivya was studying engineering before she took part in the beauty contest and won it...in Simla? I am pretty sure I read that...Jay ...did you know Cindy Crawford graduated valedictorian from her high school and was offered full scholarship to study chemical engineering in Northeastern (I may have the college wrong) before taking up modeling as a career? I am glad to see people feel bold enough to make the choices...and that opportunities are there to get the pay off..A couple of friends have become preachers after doing engineering from the top institutions...GO FIGURE that one...😆 Any way, I tell my kids who are very interested in music and writing poetry...is that...they can only think of this as a second career...😆

Madhu...I hear you...good education and spouse...that's the wish...

Although ...I am floored at the number of girls and boys who think marriage is not something they want to bother with...want to stay single...

G...How are you liking living in the UK...after going from the states?

Ok...I need to go attend some calls...the joy of working globally...nothing stops...snow and all aside...There is always some part of the world working...😊

Sush i think most of the kids who grow here or atleast go to the school here believes that they are American or Canadian in my case. Even my daughters don't consider themselves as Indian. Wearing Indian clothes to school is a total NO NO. They reformed their 70 year old grandma to wear western clothes as well😃. Their take if you want to come to see our school work ir see us play sports then don't wear Indian clothes and to my surprise MIL went with it👏. Not taking Indian food as a lunch is another of my headache😆

Gujju girls have no choice but learn cooking Its must. Even my daughters can cook Indian food. Now do they want to eat Indian food that is another story.

@ G - your kids will have their own accent.😊 Kids are too smart these days. 😃 When i sit back and think about myself i was the biggest fool of the century back then compared to my kids.😳

@ Shweta - Beautiful collage and to add it up Obama's speech too was very nice. He just touched up some real issues mainly the ones of Women safety and successful women. Its a sad state that the country which believed in Women equality since its inception has to hear this from American President as American women had to fight for their right of equality. Other than that President is a wonderful speaker so that will add to his charm.😃

@ Madhu - Yes Indian parents have issues with their siblings studies which is changing and am glad that its changing. In my time we had reservation system not sure how it works now. So imagine a person acquiring that sit and then wasting the seat when some real needy could have easily got in to it.

Jay - Sushant singh Rajput - IIT graduate is in the movie industry and so in John Ibraham an IIM graduate and Chetan Bhagat who is both IIT and IIM graduate. Guess it works like if nothing works out then education can take them somewhere😕. This thread has become like our previous CC Jay where we discussed anything under the sky😃

Now the big issue is do the person in grade 12 knows what he/she wants to do in life. I don't think so and that is the real reason why many change profession after they get in to it.

TO all the East coast guys error in weather forecast worked in your favour😃
