Ok forgetting the major blooper of an episode tonight, I do think it is a masterstroke in the story so far.
Finally, I think the real story will now begin. Up until now, the characters were introduced, we got a glimpse of their personalities, and the stage was set for the real story about humsafars to unfold.
Up until now, we have only seen Sahir's dark side, his ruthless businessman approach to life, his hatred for love, his passionate need for proving himself and making that deal, his loneliness, his anti-hero characteristics and his self-mutilating tactics. But till date, the Sahir that WAS before Zeenat changed him, has not been shown, except for briefly in glimpses of his past with Zeenat and in the episodes that Arzoo fell in love with him and he too fell in love with her ( without him realizing). That is the only time, we saw a soft hearted Sahir, a good guy Sahir, and a person who could be selfless and unconditionally loving. But now, his story with Zeenat will slowly unfold and we will finally understand why our hero has become anti-hero and how his past has moulded his present. And also, the real Sahir, beneath all that hard-heartedness will come out. And slowly, Arzoo will heal him.
Arzoo, who up until now was shown to be naive, innocent, all-trusting and even a little buddhu, finally has had her heart broken, and she has seen the ways of the world in this big city, has understood that she is herself, her only strength and she needs to fight her own battles without the need for a man, be it Sahir or Zaki. Sahir took away the wind beneath her feet, but also dropped her to the ground with equal force. Earlier, she used to fear Sahir, as her boss, then she grew to love him and admire him, now she finally hates him. So, now, she is an equal to Sahir, where she doesn't fear him or admire him. She can now challenge him as an equal and as his lawfully wedded wife.
Zaki, who until now was shown to be immature, stupid and careless, has finally grown up, as he has experienced real love and heart break all together. The complexities of his relationship with Sahir and Alvira are now in the open and Zaki is forced to finally come to terms with his reality and to grow up into an adult who has to lead his own life, and not by always being supported by Sahir. He may turn negative and that will only add to the story line ahead.
Now the story turns around where finally we will see two strong protagonists, each marred by their own past, their own harsh realities, finally understand each other, love each other and heal each other. Up until now, they only admired each other enough to think it was love and an attraction and didn't understand the effect of the other person on their lives. But now, as maulvi saab said, that two people are brought together by destiny for a reason and they end up together, by hook or by crook. Now, they will realize that it is their pain, their past, their cruel truth that binds them as humsafars and that they are bound by pain, and sharing that pain with each other, and healing each other's wounds is what their love is based on and why destiny has made them for each other as humsafars.
