Hi everybody,
Thanks for all your lovely responses 🤗. Since I am a newbie I cannot make more than ten posts a day, so am responding to all of you here in this one post.
(BTW can anyone tell me what it takes to graduate from newbie?? )
@Taanudeewani, farzi, aamna and neha - Thank you and a hug for all of you 🤗
@Suvika - You are right! Sahir's endurance level is definitely more than ours - I can hardly watch him hurting himself these days. I closed my eyes when he was poking that wound with the nib yesterday - just terrible to watch 😭
I loved your post "touch me - dont touch me." 😊Arzoo's trust is shaken undoubtedly but it is not gone, at least not until day before yesterday's episode and whatever is left of it is still more than what she has for others, especially Zaki 😆. That is why she called him and no one else.
I am hoping too that this becomes a new beginning for both. Sahir has to lay out his pain in front of Arzoo; otherwise, he wont heal...waiting for that to happen soon
Also, your comment on my earlier post about Arzoo running away every time Sahir tells her to back off, it is true but then there have been also times when in spite of his telling, she has stayed and done her best - like the time she put medicine to his wound or told him thank you at the office. Of course, this time with all that has happened, it would be a lot more difficult to happen, but someday or the other it has to happen. It is a show and they are the lead pair - so, they have to come together some or the other time - thank god for that! 😆😊
And you can call me Sanchita 🤗
@Fantasia - Thanks a lot - I too hope someone reads it out to him - I feel so so bad for him, especially because he is doing most of this to himself and making it harder and harder. Nevertheless, he is a good man and surely surely does not deserve this much pain and heartbreak. In fact, he deserves comfort, care, and love and someone to really see through him and cure him of this anguish...
And yes, they need to reaveal his past now; it has been dragged way too long and is not doing any good now. However, past or no past, I am not quitting HS - never! 😆
@sundas - I completely understand what you are saying...it is getting really unbearable now to see his "family's" behavior...The characterizations are to blame here mainly.
I have thought a lot about Zaki actually. There are two things about him. Firstly, he is young and immature and thinks he has just discovered this great thing called "love" and has already gained enough experience to lecture Sahir. However, I do not mind him really telling him that he is wrong - which is right actually. He also understands Arzoo because she is rather transparent - her innocence, naivete, and goodness are out in the open for everyone to see. So, when she told Sahir she loves him, there are no two ways about it. But Zaki is too inexperienced and immature to understand Sahir's complex emotions - this much I can fathom - and therefore, I will not blame him for that part of his lecture where he pleads on behalf of Arzoo. However, I seriously disapprove of this - he should not pass judgment on Sahir or call him names. 😒He does not 'understand' him - I am fine with this. But being a brother with whom he has grown up and has shared a good rapport (before Arzoo's arrival), he must at least 'know' his nature. If he knows his brother is extremely guarded about his feelings, is highly reticent, has a sad past, and above all, has been a reasonably good man until now who has taken care of the family unselfishly - then he should at least keep quiet beyond a point if he cannot understand or empathize. There is no way he should come blaming him or saying things like he doesn't have a heart and can only do business - NO, that is not acceptable. If you start loving a girl, it doesn't mean you stop loving your brother 😒. Instead, if he had been a really good brother, he should have tried to find out what is going on in Sahir's mind actually - really persisted to find out why he is doing this, because he should have known Sahir will take time to come out with the truth. He should not have so promptly concluded that he is the "villain" who is responsible for all bad things. That is sad, really sad 😭.
Now, Alvira, this one is beyond me. Initally, I thought she was rather prim and strict with no real affections but then I see she has that affection for Zaki. She does try to reach out to him when she sees him in pain - so, she has it in her. But yesterday when Sahir was pleading in front of her in that miserable way, she did not even once lay her hand on his head comfortingly. Any mother on this earth would do that. As an audience, I felt like reaching out instantly - how come she didn't? Sahir is her son in pain - she knows that. Sahir is the one who needs help - she knows that. Sahir is the one who needs support and guidance - she knows that. But what does she do -
absolutely nothing! Or perhaps she is waiting for Arzoo to come and do all this - really beyond my understanding. The only thing she has done in making these two fall in love with each other is, make them suffer even more 😭. She should have first helped Sahir to come to terms with his
past, helped Arzoo to understand his past and his pain and then brought them together. But she just brings them together and probably expects them to sort everything out themselves while she just watches from the wings! Bad, bad 😡
Finally, Arzoo - her characterization has been really inconsistent. She came in as a mature, strong woman who had retained her childlike freshness and the courage to ask questions but then that got lost somewhere. The day she rejected his proposal - the reasons she gave were only partial. She told him she couldn't trust him because he had many faces and she didn't want one more problem in her life. Whereas, the thing she should have harped on should have been - whether He really loved her because clearly he didn't trust her with his pain. And what is love without trust? If she had gone along these lines and compelled Sahir to reveal his past, a lot of what is happening now could have been avoided. Then, the next day, when he clearly told her
he would show his good side only, she accepted that too. And finally she confessed and had been on cloud nine since then. She had got her happy Sahir sir who had declared his love and she conveniently chose to forget his "dard" which she knows exists and is very important for him. 😭 Her love is surely true and pure but is it strong enough for a man like Sahir?
I do not know what they will do to her character in the future - from the looks of it now, she should get to the truth somehow - otherwise, I don't see her understanding him or seeing through him in any way though I really really hope she does even without the facts...
