I think the CVs meant to portray her as naive and ambitious but they forgot the fact that she was present when Anam had maligned her sister who early on in the show she was portrayed to be so close to.

I find Arzoo very realistic she is clumsy, a bit naive, sometimes has a hard time controlling her temper but she works towards her dreams. She doesn't go worshiping people who tried to malign her family in order to achieve what she desires. More importantly who she doesn't know are trustworthy. Basically she is not the perfect character either but she is one with some self-respect and values. So I respectfully disagree here.

Thanks for your thoughtful response
It is true that Arzoo is much nicer person than Zara. But to me Zara seems more real.

Arzoo is very confident, righteous, always does the right thing, doesn't ever challenge her mom's decision, has disowned her dad because he did wrong by her family. She tried to fight the factory closure by playing with her life! she fought for medical treatment for fellow inmate in lockup. If the writers had decided that she was going to fight for the underdog and join the law firm of Chaudhary & Chaudhary, then her character would be totally believable. As I said earlier, she will make a good human rights lawyer. She is not your typical 20-something woman.

But the writers decided she was going to be an intern for a fashion clothes designer! Say WHAT? They forgot to show her doing any designing or anything artistic. Or wearing clothes that she designed herself, showing her own individualistic sense of style. Or even talk fashion, colors, designs with anyone.

Even in the kitchen, she does not come up with any unusual dishes, that would show her flair for creativity in any way.

I find her character sketch rather confusing. Disconnected.

hi
the fact that i liked your post proves that i do agree a lot to your POV

but then i have a few things to put forth too

u know..zara might seem real...her ambitions...her attraction towards glamour n all...but...idolising anam?
nopes...no matter how big ur ambitions are.. a person coming from zara's BG can't favour a person like anam who openly humiliated her family...

for me zara is plain selfish...and thats where she appears realistic coz we all r selfish to some extent

she has shown traits of selfishness right from day one!

choosing roshni's dress over aarzoo...and here trying to impress anam for her help in fulfilling her dreams...point towards her selfishness

now coming to the point where i disagree...

aarzoo might come as unreal...but...people like her do exist...very few in this world...but they r there!

and coming to sahir's comment...i feel its pretty shabby to pass a personal remark abt someone's clothes or dressing sense...and sahir definitely does not belong to such a league.

wen he gave aarzoo the tent advise...he clearly mentioned saiyyara...and what saiyyara is abt...and whats expected of the employees of saiyyara...he made a purely professional remark...and once aarzoo put forth what she felt is expected of her as saiyyara's employee...he agreed...not once did he remark on her clothes after that

I think Zara would have come across as blinded by glamour if she hadn't jumped onto the Anam bandwagon so quickly!
Her selfishness may be realistic but she hasn't lived such a repressed life considering she got to participate in the fashion show and wear clothes off her choice etc.. she seemed sensible when she said they should solve the house issue without telling Arzoo... there she seemed responsible and willing to think for the family...

Now suddenly here she is... First she saw how Anam insulted them all and still asked whether they could stay for a few days more.. Then she fawns over An am... and what's unreal is the possibility that she would give the dupatta to An am without checking with Arzoo if that happens... How much ever she claims to idolize Anam she just met her and she saw how she is too! That's betrayal.. And someone who grew up in such a close knit family should have held out a little while at least before putting her personal ambitions before her family interests!

As for Arzoo... yes she hasn't behaved professionally so far.. She has been all talk and less action.. However it's the circumstances too... she hasn't dealt properly with them.. Which is something real people face loads of times!
I don't agree with the way she answered Sahir regarding the dress but since he doesn't insist that matter ended there!
And about Arzoo in the kitchen that's soap formula... Show the heroine as a jack of all trades and master of most... She shouldn't be handling the kitchen at all in the house... But it's one of those things!
We will see more of her design talent hopefully now.
