First thing first, I have and will aways be a huge fan of Dargah scenes mostly because of the symbolism they hold, and the purity and assurance they put forth. Sahir and Arzoo's Dargah scene was no less amazing for me.

I don't know where to begin with these two. Sahir who is supposed to be our typical angry young man, with a hardened heart and an even tougher mind. And yet he is more patient than most, he believes in second chances, he is controlled. His anger is always there, under the surface, but he isn't a ticking time bomb and Sahir doesn't waste his time with petty personal vendettas. Case in point had this been Gul's other shows Sahir would have degraded Arzoo for her Jhumroo Khan flying stunt. Instead Sahir had looked on in utter bewilderment, and had allowed her to apologize. He's extremely sensitive to the people around him even though he doesn't emote this. Sahir ek shayar hai. He is a writer, a lover of words, a master of penning emotions, he more than anyone knows people. He can read them and know where to hurt them most, but he isn't actively cruel or calculating to the people around him. He's completely compartmentalized his life. Work. Family. Work. Everything has a time, level of commitment and effort, and he does not stray. He has his routine because it keeps him occupied, it allows him to not have time to feel.

Arzoo on the other hand, well if Sahir is all control, then Arzoo is no control. She wears her anger on her sleeve, and even the smallest tug has her erupting in rage. She is so emotional, in that she feels what she feels, its all or nothing for her. If she loves you she loves you and if she hates you then indifference does not exist in her diary at all. She's smart, she's ambitious and she is incredibly talented. Arzoo's heart is saaf, but in many ways she is so naadaan about the ways of the world. Her short grasp on her anger leads to a level of immaturity that is refreshing and shows you that she is flawed. Her immaturity which has shown us now that she lacks professionalism when her heart is on the line, is a defining trait for her. She is a short fuse ready to burst at the smallest attack against her, and to see her journey into a capable and confident woman who learns to handle her demons will be a treat to watch.

On the surface they couldn't be anymore different, one is controlled, the other is uncontrollable. But they share one thing, and that's pain. Pain and anger and the feeling of knowing what helplessness feels like. This isn't a story of girl meets boy, girl heals boy. No, their destiny lies so inherently with the other's pain, because if Arzoo heals Sahir's heart, Sahir will heal her's too. Dard, dard ko keechta hai. They are drawn to each other because they are bound by pain, they know what the other knows about what it is to live with pain and anger everyday. Perhaps Sahir's wounds are deeper than Arzoo's, and perhaps we will take longer to heal, but Arzoo's prejudices are long and heavy, and her mistrust of men runs even deeper. How does a thorned flower bloom for the dark? When the dark carries the moon in its hold, and the flower has been aching for the slightest bit of light. Sahir will bleed his way to her bloom, his emotions will bleed out from his cold heart because that's what Arzoo does, she is desire and she is what will force him to feel.

Tohe piya milenge.

Sahir and Arzoo are soulmates, it's been established since the beginning. They are what the other needs, and eventually what they will both want. They are drawn together because that is what is intended, their love is larger than life, and it's crafted been by God himself.

When Sahir enters and Sukhwinder ji's voice sings Jo hai dekha, wohi dekha to kya dekha hai / Dekho woh jo auron ne naa kabhi dekha hai my god the foreshadowing was incredible. It's beckoning both Arzoo and Sahir to look past what the world sees when it looks at them, but to see what they are both meant to see in each other, what the world will never be able to see. And then the boy asking Sahir to buy a rose because dil ko sukoon milega, and Sahir has nothing to give this boy but it doesn't matter because Arzoo has already paid for his phool, paid for his sukoon. Just a glimpse of what is to come, that Arzoo will bring him the sukoon Sahir so desperately seeks.

Piya toh zaroor milenge, but the question is how? How will Arzoo's saadhagi win over Sahir and how will Sahir's carefully placed walls be crashed by Arzoo? It's a matter of two equally flawed people creating a love that is their own haven. Whatever the case, I am very much intrigued to find out where these two kindred souls go from here.

first things first love your post like wow, but i gotta res, been very busy with uni and gonna do my assignment but i will be back
back😃

tbh i was never to into dargah sequences but the way HS did, i totally love it, it was given a good amount of time to play out, nicely shot and the songs and tunes used were perfect and executed in the right moments. the place looks magical especially when sahir saw the entry, it looked like a pathway to another world. your deff right amoub purity and reassurance, its a very soothing sequence.

couldnt agree with you more on sahir, his emotionally restrained by choice, its definitely to protect himself from putting him self at risk and unpredictability that could hurt him, so before anything could his puts a stop before it actually happens. he has a tough outer exterior but also a softness as well about innocence. is quite the silent type and a bit of an introvert. of course he still has the angry man side but his way different, he doesnt come as a bully or abusive etc you get the point. there is so many facets to him and its wonderful seeing that in front of ours ep by ep. since he has all these facets and isnt just restrained as only an angry young man, just that specific trait we get to see lots of stuff from him and its not out of character. i just love him and HC for portraying him.

totally on point on arzoo, i love her as well, she has a maturity and freshness about her but she is flawed as well like you said. totally opposite to sahir. she also has innocence but alot of pain as well and trust issues on men. im excited to see how she grows through the serial. i dont know what else to say about her, she is bold and end up telling the truth, she says sorry and realizes her mistake and isnt stubborn when she does make a mistake, she accepts it and makes no big deal in apologizing. shivya does an awesome job and you said everything needed about arzoo.

i love the whole bound by pain and thats the main thing they share. tragically beautiful. the next thing written from here i absolutely love, you have such a good understanding and way with words. this is very beautiful👏.

" Perhaps Sahir's wounds are deeper than Arzoo's, and perhaps we will take longer to heal, but Arzoo's prejudices are long and heavy, and her mistrust of men runs even deeper. "

i cant wait to see how it plays out , both have painful baggage and how they both help each other will be interesting to see.

beautifully written...
the dargah scene was so beautiful and divine...for me its the best Saaz scenes till date...
I love the way the maulvi describes pain to arzoo...
I completely agree with him...arzoo's humsafar (sahir) has more pain in his soul than her...its going to be heart-touching to watch how arzoo heals his pain...sahir looks tough from exterior...but deep down his heart he is very vulnerable and emotional...I would love to see in what circumstances arzoo witness sahir's pain

I don't know why...but when I see sahir...I feel like crying and hugging him and tell him "your pain is mine"...he is very different from ASR and AAK...his pain is too deep and passionate than them...and he lets out his pain through poems he writes upon...that really melts my heart and eyes...

It's my favourite scene as well! Sahir is very much different from other angry young man typecasts. He's much too controlled, but you can sense that he's irritated or frustrated. He's so calm on the outside but you know that he's got a raging storm inside of him. The best thing about him though is that Sahir's hardness isn't an excuse for him to be rude. He's got a very matter of fact attitude and he doesn't go out of his way to humiliate anyone, even the way he handled Sarfaraz was so great!
