Agreed the chotey sheher chotey loag was a bit too much on Sahir's part but she did lie and he had caught it (yes it was personal and she didn't have to tell but sahir didn know that) which kind of added weight to his already prejudice thinking about people from small cities. Just as arzoo's prejudice about all men came to the fore once sahir insulted him, even though it had nothing to do with her being a woman. She is an intern and so far she has been all talk and no work and considers it her right to speak up in every matter ... well in professional world it doesn't work that way 😆 Yes Sahir was harsh to Linda but as far as Arzoo is concerned I don't think till now he has once insulted her without her asking for it. You are here to prove your worth, you got a chance of a lifetime and what you do with it? And yes i understand Arzoo has a past to deal with, which came in-front of her in Sayarra and she became disoriented but then so does Sahir ... can that excuse him bringing down the factory? No it can't ... similarly arzoo needs to understand that she can't interfere in every matter, which i doubt she would because that is a trait of all female leads, self righteousness and talking in every mater. Arzoo already had a not so good start at sayara and i do understand she felt bad for linda and the little boy but it was not her business being an intern to do what she did, no matter how brave or strong she is. Arzoo is shown to be a girl with ambition who wants success, who needs success and at the moment she is doing everything but working towards the goal!!!

Oh and darga scene no matter how cliched these scenes are they always tug your heart no matter what 😆

Hi soap! You are right that Sahir didn't insult her BECAUSE she was a woman...but her own experience with men like her dad makes her see in that light...

BUT he did put her down...he did insult her...it would have been fine if he just said...I am the decision maker not you...and you have no place to say what I should or should not do...but to bring in her salary and announce that...and that she lives on his charity...is bringing in the aukat angle...which is surely insulting...Very insulting in my books...

About not interfering in Linda's affair...because it will hurt her career...The day Aarzoo will calculate about what will get her success and behave accordingly...she will become Anam...the fact that she doesn't think like that...makes her who she is...isn't that so? 😃

Yes...me too a sucker for Dargah scenes...as cliched as they may be...😆

I always like reading your post but this one I must say was beautifully written. Yes, like Arzoo, Saahir also have his flaws. He is bit of frivolous boss. I heard from someone with much work experience that there are two kinds of bosses. One that produce a lot and are really successful but not liked by their employees and the other are the not so successful ones that are loved by their employees. In order to achieve success and excel you have to push yourself along with others a bit harder and the downside is you're not as popular. But here he was a bit unreasonable. It was her son's birthday and he she was only asking to leave earlier not really taking an unreasonable holiday. But did he really have to yell at her in public that was my real problem with the matter. I guess as a boss he does have a right to tell an employee when not to leave.

I was one of the people who felt Saahir couldn't have sent those flowers but maybe the way you explained it does make sense. His mother told him to take care of her. And we have already seen how much Saahir values Alvira's requests. So for her sake he apologized to make Arzoo feel more comfortable in the work place. I guess sending flowers must have been easier than apologizing in person for him. But that is why the public lecture on rules and regulations followed right after. It was his way of seeing I don't mean to hurt anyone's feelings but I am adamant and unbending about my rules. If not the flowers will always remain a mystery.

PS. The one character I don't really like right now is Arzoo's mom. I sometimes wonder how she had a daughter like Arzoo. With all due respect the character is weak really weak.

Hi Red...I would find it very uncharacteristic for him to send flowers...
I hope they clarify this going forward and don't leave it unresolved...

Sush...i just believe a balance is missing...I mean if Arzoo is painting Sahir all black because if her experience with her dad...then she must consider that even though she actually threw her phone at him she is still working in his office,,,.even though she didn't get the samples to him on time...she got another chance...!
And...she only told Alvira one side of the story...about Sahir insulting her...the context wasn't mentioned! I think his question about sarfaraz per se was very valid...and her explanation did sound very false!
Similarly I agree that the aukat statement was in bad taste...in fact I think that may be why he decides to let her live in the house...! But..she never even thought that she did something wrong in speaking up...it's kind of very one sided..From earlier experience the FL starts getting painted as one who can't do any wrong...here it hasn't started off like that...hope it remains balanced!

Sush nice post and an opt title . Sweta awesome job with collages .
Truly they are meant to be and all the darga scene indicates that.

I liked the episode today sahir as a strict boss makes very clear about his rules in his company and shows Arzoo her place . Arzoo is carried away emotionally but business house cannot run on emotions and she doesn't yet realise that . Sahir didn't do anything wrong when a newcomer interfere in her boss decision in front of the office staff he made sure to show her place in this company .

I am sure that bouquet was not sent by sahir. Alvira's interaction between sahir and arzoo was good . Is she trying to show the real sahir behind the mask of an arrogant business man to arzoo?

Hello Sush, follower of your posts since RR. Nothing at present is appeasing my broken heart.
Religiously come to this forum to read your wonderful posts and see shweta's fab collages.

Shweta recommended me to watch this show. Watching the episodes here and there. Its different from the current lot and to say is a pleasant sometimes. Reminds me of a previously loved show.

Sahir's sorry was not required to say and that to with flowers hard to digest. For me Sahir had every right to doubt Aarzoo. For am employee of Saiyarra to have a conversation with a traitor is really doubtful. Ok he was a bit harsh, but even Arzoo was not quite straightforward. Her behaviour was as if she was hiding something.

The dargah scene is an integral part of all Gul's shows. It is a meeting point of the star-crossed lovers.

I like Arzoo, an independent girl, willing to accept her mistakes and accepting the reality of life instead of crying over it.

Sahir is yet hard for me to understand. And to say the getup is making it me hard to accept him. I liked HC in tere liye. The man is indeed handsome. But somehow the present look doesn't suit a business person and that too of a fashion house.

Hi Reshma,

Happy to see you and am glad you are giving the show a chance . Dargah scene has become an integral part of most shows not just Guls's . I have not watched HC before so have no bench mark ...getting rid of some hair will surely do wonders ...but I am ok with it finally 😃 Enjoy Arzoo won't be long before her character will transform to be comical ( Gul is notorious )

Hi Daksha...I guess there is a reason why I am a registered democrat...😆 Strong believer that businesses are not built on getting that last hour of work from a single mom, who is asking for exception ...once in a while...

I guess the writers did a good job in drawing a line at a place...that could find people genuinely on both sides ...

Sush and Swetha, nice collages...all the thoughts and emotions I only see being written here, not portrayed actually, it is like an eye opener for me as to what is happening...

Sush... the kid said he had come to the office after school and Linda was definitely not asking for much by wanting to leave in the afternoon...! However Arzoo had just walked in then.. That is strange... An am noticed... Wonder if Sahir did too!

I agree with both of you being a mother myself I loved that Linda and her son hugging scene , the way to console that little kid. But that's the practicality of world around us and Sahir is no different .
A half day leave may not make difference to sayarra but this is how sahir's character is at present detachment from all emotions around him .
