Guys, just call me Lizzy 😆 Less typing work on the fingers 😛

I got some really cool observations from Sundas, RushTrip, Virgo and Silky -- and all of them make sense. Sundas is right on the fact that this man is constantly on the move and does not look back.

RushTrip (having fun suffering from Extrapolitis, I hope?😆 And no...I only lurked on the Geet/IPK forums, but I do recall seeing another Lizzy posting in the latter) - interesting observations on this being a part of his desensitization, because he feels that's the only way he can survive (I remember Silky posting a shairee at our Snippet Corner, and some of the lines there really suit this: buray hain hum isiliye toh jee rahe hain, acche hote toh duniya jeene nahi deti)

Virgo I recall how disturbed you were about Sahir's reactions...I think most of us have come to the point where we have no clue what he will surprise us with next. I agree - Zaara has the potential to be a complex, mature character...if the CVs tap into that rather than just make her someone who will be jealous of her Aapi's achievements. Their bond is beautiful and so natural...kind of like nature itself. I love how you saw girl power in the team huddle! 😆 Also, Sahir's mujhe yeh pasand nahi, mujhe woh pasand nahi reminds me of the mother of another HC character, Mohan. Mujhe pasand nahi used to be her catchphrase 🤣

Smj7 and ummesulaiman, thank you!⭐️

Silky that extension of the broken gift symbol sounds so fitting! That like the gift itself, Sahir is broken, but Aarzoo will ensure that he emerges from this an emotionally stronger man, at peace with himself and in love with life. And Lucknow Chronicles? 😆 Lemme get the backstory first then I'll probably work on something! 😃

Sun, I was wondering whether the gift was for him or for Rehman...most probably for him I guess because he is after all Alvira's son and I'm sure Aarzoo must have gotten informed about where Alvira was staying and who was with her. It's possible. After all they were there as Alvira's guests, not Rehman.

And it's possible for him to not even notice the noise of the gift being broken in his hurry, and it's also possible if he heard the noise, felt the cracks but didn't have the time or energy to give it any attention.

So if Sahir ends up crushing his own gift beneath his feet without even knowing it, I could see a future where he is presented with something more precious, which he might reject/push away without knowing he is, and the hurt that would come with it would be deeper and longer-lasting? Who knows!

i felt she got the gift for Sahir only, thats what i felt when she was about to tell about the gift but didnt reveal it.. and di who is rehman ?

di I am pretty sure, he did not realise that he stepped on something and eventually broke the thing, otherwise its human reflex to look at it , its irre;levant to how much careless a person is ..

di i feel he might push the bigger gift away consciously, he really hates the word HAPPINESS, infact i feel he fears about it , i really wana see his backstory .. i really wana see the struggleand his inner conflict when he wants to fall in love but cannot accept it.

Rehman is that MLA that Alvira and Sahir are staying with. I was a little confused in the beginning because she had brought a gift for Rehman's wife too...so I was wondering whether the third gift was for either. Only on further thought did I realise that since they were there as Alvira's guests, the third gift would more likely to be for Alvira's son.

I think given Sahir's characterization it could go either way...Sahir anyway always surprises us at every turn 😆

And yeah...I feel that this gift episode is a real indicator of his pushing away the bigger gift that Aarzoo will have in store -- her love, and the promise of their joint happiness.

the no looking back fact
i feel it provided a hint into what aarzoo was going to encounter in mumbai...it was indeed going to be a contrast from what she had seen all her life in lucknow.
sahir steps onto something and moves on without even pausing or even casting a second glance...though in todays epi we did see him pausing for a second wen he walks past a crying aarzoo at the airport.

2 different scenarios...2 different reactions...
i feel...for sahir...destruction is the end of everything...for him...if something is broken or destroyed...it can't be mended...its the end of it...maybe thats what his life is all abt too??
he hinted us abt ppl having different faces in life...maybe one such face hurt him so much that in order to punish himself...he led himself to self destruction? coz even wen he blasted that factory...it was more like sahir seeing his own destruction in its ashes...rather than him enjoying that he accomplished his deeds

but lizzy...u mentioned that aarzoo needed to preserve her own identity...rather than being just a drop in the vast ocean called mumbai...
on the contrary i feel that aarzoo needed to give something of her lucknow tehzeeb...and learn something from mumbai too...aarzoo i find is rigid...she needs to mould herself in the ways of mumbai without losing her identity rather than staying rigid and breaking herself...

Vandyben...where in the world are YOUR charans??? 😆 I need them asap!

@Brokenness...Sahir is a man who cannot afford to ponder over the past -- it's too painful for him. Going forward is the only option he will ever have. And since good things feel rake up bitter memories, he sticks to what he finds safe: darkness, anger, ugliness, destruction. I feel that at every step of the way he would rather punish himself in the present than look back in his past.

Esp reg the identity thing...I think that change and that adjustment is inevitable. It WILL happen and she WILL change because that is what we human beings do - like most other animals we adapt to our environment. But her core will remain what it is: her love for nature, her love for life, her ability to see good things in both tradition and modernity, her positivity. Just as I wouldn't want the core of Sahir's identity to change: his quiet strength, his ability to stand his ground and get the job done, his love for privacy, his poetry. They will both change, but their identity, what defines them, will stay the same. And that I will apply to everyone of us.

She will change, but not completely doubt herself or see herself as inadequate. I say this as a woman who came to Mumbai a newly wed, who was so afraid of the city and the vast ocean of people that I locked myself in the house for at least 6 months. But eventually when I got over my fear and started exploring Mumbai, I found a lot of beauty, a lot of drive. I saw the desire to keep moving forward no matter what, and today even though I feel sick my first thought is what I'll do first when I get back to work. I see beauty in the wall art I see everyday, in the peela gulmohars that fall just before monsoon begins, in the dahi puri I eat on my way home. I am a different person because of the place I live in. Places change you. And I feel that once she gets used to it she will become a true blue Mumbaikar 😆 I feel Mumbai can give a lot to Aarzoo, and Aarzoo can give a lot to Mumbai.
