Interview of Kanwar Dhillon on TOI

Sony Entertainment Television's newly launched show Hum Hai Naa had already hit TV screens. In a recent conversation with Kanwar Dhillon, who plays the main lead in the show, he speaks about his luck, his popularity as Addu and meeting Amitabh Bachchan.

In Hum Hai Na, Kanwar plays the character Bunty and the show was earlier titled Banaras Ka Bunty. However, the title was later changed. "Bunty is a very helpful guy and that is the reason why the show is titled as Hum Hai Na," said Kanwar.

Talking about bagging the show, he says, "I feel lucky that I have got a male centric role on the small screen which is a female dominated arena. After Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kahan, I took a break from acting as I completed my studies in the meantime. And as soon as I was done with my studies, I was offered the role."

Kanwar's character 'Addu' from Na Bole Tum... is famous but his character 'Bunty' also caught attention while shooting in Benares. "Earlier when we started shooting in Banaras, initially public over there called me Addu and I was obliged that they still remember me. But after few days they started calling me Bunty, which was remarkable. My character Bunty also received the same amount of love like Addu."

Kanwar recently visited the sets of Kaun Banega Crorepati and no wonder, he was on cloud after meeting Big B, "I don't believe that I met Mr. Bachchan. He appreciated me and my work and he said that I am handsome. Ohh! those words made my day. Meeting Big B was just like visiting Siddhivinayak. I went to Yash Raj studios which is like a temple and also met Big B who is the god of Bollywood," concluded Kanwar.
