Zee TV's show Hitler Didi had some sort of a mixed run. The plot did show promise initially, which later fizzed out. Off screen, time and often, the show got embroiled in myriad controversies, one of them being actor Smita Singh opting out due to payment issues.
The show is now coming to an end and to part on a high, the makers (Trilogy Media Pvt Ltd) threw a party for the cast and crew wherein the media was also invited.
Most past and present actors turned up for the do, sans Smita Singh, Gargi Sharma among others.
The impromptu gathering at Film City over alcohol and music kind of started well. Everybody seemed to be in a good mood. Lead actors Sumit Vats and Rati Pandey danced, had a few drinks and were also seen giving bytes to waiting media crews.
Sejal Shah who plays the mother (Kutumbh Sharma) was a live wire on the dance floor. Everybody else was also having a very good time. Sandeep Baswana who plays Munna Sharma turned up with his long time live-in girlfriend Ashlesha Sawant (Pyaar Ka Dard Hai...Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara).
Ashlesha was seen dragging Sandeep on the dance floor. Jasvir Kaur, who had worked as Munna's second wife Savita also joined the party for a short time. Aasiya Kazi (Dr Shweta Kapoor) was also seen having a good time chatting with friends.
All was good'but soon trouble started as the party started to heat up. An inebriated Sandeep (who told us he was half drunk when asked for a quote) started insulting the cast and crew. A source saw him telling the costume designer, "you gave me very bad clothes in the show."
This was one incident. Furthermore, as the night became darker, a totally sloshed Harshika (the third wife of Munna) wearing a very bold outfit was seen being taken by Rituraj Singh (Inder Sharma/Kala Diwan Chandela) to his room (to get cuddly cuddly) but some of the unit guys intervened and sent her home.
As if all this was not enough, Rituraj then got into a full on 'verbal abuse argument' with Rati.
To be fair to the all concerned actors, we decided to get a counter version.
First we spoke to producer Rohit Vaid who said, "It was great unit to have worked with. We finished 500 odd episodes which is no mean task. Many of the cast members were emotional (we saw the same). It was fun."
"As for the allegations you put I can say with guarantee that nothing happened for although I was not there. I spoke to number of people who were there till the very end and they said the same thing. Sandeep did not abuse anyone. In fact he wanted to take the party home. Coming to Harshika she was totally sloshed and was throwing up. The unit guys actually helped her. And may be the room thing could be when someone was trying to help her, in the process got misjudged by onlookers. Rituraj is a gentleman and he will never try any such stunt. In fact he helped Harshika get home," added Rohit.
When we texted Rituraj he laughed off the incident without commenting anymore.
Whereas Sandeep went on an abusing spree and asked us not to call him again (play cool'dude).
Rati said, "What crap are you talking about? Kindly get some sound sources. We never had such time in the party"
