Kanan,a very good analysis of yesterday's episode. It indeed was an episode with a bit of everything, anger, pain, desperation, longing and love;and all these aspects of human nature was beautifully executed by the CVs of "HD".But these emotions felt so real, because actors Rati and Sumit put live into them with their phenomenal performanceđ.
Now coming to the points, which you have put,I would like to say that, the good part of the episode was Rishi's outburst of anger and helplessness, which not only showed that,Rishi is not overshadowed by his ego;he's not embarrassed to say that he had lost;that his love for Indira is pure and selfless. And the most dramatic,or we should rather call it a "filmy",part was both Indira and Rishi falling and flowers showered over them.(it would have been more interesting if the song,"Baharoin Phool Barsawoin Mera Mehboob Aayaa Hain..."was played in the backgroundđ
The bad part of the episode:Well, here I would totally agree with you that, the idea of family videos being played in a public place, was overdone.I think the CVs,in this scene, were trying to do something like, which I've seen in a number of Hollywood movies,i.e.,the hero goes in a railway station and he starts singing a song, and suddenly the crowd follows;and as the song ends, everyone goes their way(I'm actually not being able to remember the exact word for it,but I hope you will understand)But here, the whole impulse was missing. And the wedding party in the railway station, reminding Indira of her true love, was "out of this Universe" idea.I think here Illa Bedi was sending a message to us all that, you'll wanted to see Indira and Rishi together,so take this!(this part,I enjoyed to see Rati and Sumit in a wedding dress as they were looking ravishing;but I did not like the underlying message the CVs were giving us.I mean it looked to me as though the scene was forcefully added;and I think the same was done in one of the earlier tracks, where Rishi and Indira were shown to have married secretly, and getting intimate with each other. This I don't consider as a good writing;its rather an unthoughtful piece of writing, written just to meet the demands of the audience).I believe that we could have connected with the story more if Rishi was shown to have played the recording in his mobile, which had Kabir's truth;this would have cleared Indira's misconception that she is married to this stranger. And instead of the marriage party in the railway station, helping bring Indira's memory of Rishi's role in her life(which was only a visual pleasure) ,it would have been more connecting to the story if Indira was shown to have accepted the situation, which rather proved that she had a life here before those eight years in Lahore;and there was a connection between her and the entire family of "SN",who had been behaving so strange lately, especially Indu.It could have been shown that,Indira leaves with Rishi and Indu to find out the other half of her story, and in this process of recollecting her memory, she relives all the moments spent between her and Rishi, with Rishi being her support and Indu, being the guide. This would have been the way to the next track, where we would have got our Inshi back, together, but with more romantic tension growing between them.
(I hope I didn't bore you with my view)
