My sincerest apologies for making a separate thread to address your point about not looking at Indira's perspective at today's "withdraw case" debacle. I felt that it was too important a point and deserved having a thread of its own
You say :
Indu never proclaimed not to arrest Munna for such an outrage and outburst at her. She only has sought some time for the happy moments to sink in. While withdrawing the case was just a retaliation for Sumer stubborness not to heed for her plea. It was just a small blackmail by Indu in her typical Hilter style to force Sumer to listen to her and she knows very well his weakness that he can't join back until the case is not solved.
I think people need to clear their mind first and watch before jumping to conclusions and start bashing indira right, left, and center.
If you start viewing everything keeping Rishi in mind, then it looks like Indu is at fault no matter what she does. It was CVs fault to give a break to Rishi character and not Indu's fault, so stop venting this frustration over Indira now.
So lets look at it from Indira's perspective. She has two responsibilities - to Sharmas and To Rishi as his wife
A daughter is born to Munna.
Consideration 1 : Niece - she will "tainted" if her father is arrested and brought in for questioning on the day of her birth.
- Will 12 hrs make a difference to the poor soul? Will the "taint" be any less if he is brought in 12 or 24 or 36 hrs later?
- Will she, like poor Ishaan, not have her father be arrested at all important events of their lives?
- Her tragedy she was born to Munna Sharma
Consideration 2 : Sharmas - They deserve happiness and time to celebrate the new birth
- Munna will do bhangra, then go off with friends to get roaring drunk and party the night away. Just as he has done million times over. Ofcourse he will be in top shape tomorrow for questioning
- Kutumb will be oh so very appreciative of her her son being questioned for Rishi. She will bless Sumer for giving them 12 hrs (yeah Right! And earth is flat, not round)
- ditto Sunaina
Consideration 3 : Rishi
- Has been tortured, almost killed, kidnapped again and likely being tortured at this very moment
- Probably has not been fed anything and is suffering the pain of his wounds
- Threat to life is great!
So lets be honest and not pussy foot around.
It is not a matter of Indu's perspective, or Rishi's
It is matter of Sharmas.
Sharmas, their indulgence, their addictions etc all take precedence over Rishi's life
That Indira put their indulgences first, is a shame on her
The fact that Indira enables their immoral and corrupt existence is a blight on her character, blights that she seems to be hell bent on accumulating as fast as posssible
