Can Sumer be recommended as a friend to someone like Indira?
So far, what we have is a cop who is failing even in his basic duties as a copper
- Extremely insensitive to the needs of victims who have come to report a crime.
- Is reluctant to even file an FIR, forget about aggressively hunting down criminals
- Is taking bribes and giving those cases a priority
- Is not even giving a false sense of comfort to the victims who come to his station
- Cannot be roused to help "average" /"non-monied" class until and unless he is pushed by his boss and threatened severely
The fact that he distributes the bribe money to poor people does not cut it.
His first priority should be to do his job, to treat poor and rich alike, and be sensitive to the victims, as well as realize the urgency of some matters.
Helping poor comes later.
He is failing the trust that public is placing on him, and paying for by their taxes.
He is not even a good police officer. How can such a person be worthy of being a friend of Indira - Indira who is very principled and has a strong sense of duty?
This thesis hold only for old Indira - a woman to be reckoned with.
Since the "invasion of body snatchers" has occurred and someone else seems to be inhabiting the body of Indira, I cannot vouch for this new Indira.
All bets are off. Who knows she can be attracted to Sumer's crude humor and become his groupie like the police women on Sumer's team who can think of nothing but his pretty body and pretty face
