Abhinav Shukla enters Hitler Didi opposite Rati!

Hunky model turned actor Abhinav Shukla, who has been on the tube for a year doing cameos and participating in reality shows, is all set to enter Zee TV's Hitler Didi as a parallel lead opposite actress Rati Pandey who plays the title role. He will play the key role of a Haryanvi cop Sumer Chaudhry based in Delhi's Chandni Chowk.

Rati's character Indira will approach Sumer for his help in searching for her husband Rishi who has been missing ever since the day of their court marriage. Rati will find Sumer extremely difficult to deal with. A man of few words, Abhinav's tough-as-nails cop character will be shown hiding a mysterious and painful past. Is he jilted in love, has he suffered the loss of a loved one? Only time will tell. But one thing is certain. When this macho Haryanvi cop crosses paths with our "Lady Hitler", sparks are bound to fly. In searching for hubby Rishi, will Indira lose track of her ultimate goal and develop inappropriate feelings for Sumer?

Confirming his entry in the show, Abhinav said, "Yes, I have taken on the role of Sumer Chaudhry in Hitler Didi opposite Rati Pandey. I had been following the show even before being approached for it and always thought that it is one of the most real depictions of the contemporary middle-class Delhi existence. I have great regards for Rati as an actor and think of it as my good fortune to be sharing screen space with her. I thank the team of Zee TV for considering me for such a plum role and that too of a tough cop, it's a dream come true."


Zee TV airs Hitler Didi every Monday to Friday at 8 PM.

I wanted a naya kiraayadar in Sharma nivas, not a cop for Indu... I seriously feel that indu developing a feeling for Sumer is just like a rumour as it was reported during Sameer entry..

I really hope the fall in love part is a rumor! Not just as an inshi fan but they would ruin indira's character if they showed her falling in love with someone else! She has been shown wholeheartedly loving rishi now how can they show her have feelings for this cop :( this better be a rumor! They cant ruin characters like this. And my inshi :(

arrey yaar...pehle khabar aayi thi ki sameer is the parallel lead(according to one of the TB articles)... now sumer...kitne parallel leads hain iss show mein...?? yeh saare ek jaise naam waalon ko parallel lead banake pesh karte rahenge kya...?? khair jo bhi ho...i just don't want indira to be wid anyone else except rishi...

Like you said Nikhila, i don't think Indira would ever fall for any other guy than for Rishi. I think by now many have understood her character quite well, she just won't accept anyone else than Rishi in her life!
