@bold: Yeh toh waqt hi btayega. Negative characters are "must have" for every Indian TV serial, otherwise the story will come to a halt in days. If Sameer is not negative, then who else? Jhumpa is not a big enough obstacle, the CVs need more hindrances to glorify and deepen the love between the leads of the show. Mrunal manages his job as negative character well in my opinion. Furthermore, I agree with you that there is nothing wrong in creating an appreciation thread for Indira-Sameer and the beginning of their so-called love story. But you cannot call it a love hug when he forcefully pulls her toward him. That act cannot be justified as long as Indira stays mute. He could have helped her in other ways, like lifting her up and and make her sit down on a chair or something. He exploited the opportunity to his benefit. But anyways, I think this will not convert into love, just see how Indira scolded him afterwards. It's just a coincidence he was there at that time, an one-time situation. Anyone would have helped her if Indira/a woman fell like that in public, but only a few of those would be doing it in good faith. Sadly there are many people with dirty minds all around in the world, but the problem is particularly evident in the big cities in India. It is reality, and HD is based on reality. Sameer's negative role is actually quite realistic, I am not against Sameer and Mrunal as an actor, only by his wrong deeds and thoughts. Seeing a scene like this only increase the reality level of HD. It is good for HD, but for me it does not really matter. I watch HD for the realistic plot and Inshi chemistry. Be it in any way...
